CF hood partially painted
I got the car back today from the body shop for some other repairs. While it was there, I had them paint the hood. I also threw the A-Spec wheels back on now that I replaced the blown tire from a pothole incident. It is so good to have the car back. I drove a Dodge Nitro all weekend. x1000

I love it! This is the best way of painting the hood...period.

I did some off-roading in the Nitro with my GF, since it actually was a 4x4 model. Mud all up the sides of it!

I did install the Type S A-Spec rear lip but I didn't have any pics so I didn't mention it last night for fear of "pics or ban". Pics below.
I am planning to black vinyl the roof of the car sometime this summer with assistance from DeathMetal.
I bought the hood used from a member here, it is a VIS. It had some clearcoat issues but it looks great after the body shop did their magic.
And here is the rear lip... first my old base A-Spec lip!
Then the new:
I need to get the passenger side exhaust hanger extended about 1/4" because the exhaust tip touches the lip kit and I don't want it to start melting. The driver's side is the perfect height. I don't hate it with the single exhaust tips, so I'm not sure if I will go to the quads. If those popular $67 quad tips were still around I might have been more tempted.

Thanks, yeah they are tinted with the lighter film that Ack sells. "Just enough" is how I see it as well. It isn't very obvious unless you know these cars, or if I'm parked next to a stock TL!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. I really like the black center of the hood so much, I might consider painting my stock hood black up the center if I were going to rock the stock hood again for some reason.

you ruined your beautiful hood with that cf!! lol! jk.
looks pretty badass. i like it. here are some other examples of what a few people did when painting they're hood cf or not
this ones just like yours
i love this combo!!
yours looks great. it probably looks so sweet out in the sun.
btw, you should get the rear honeycomb garnish for your rear type-s spoiler. its like $30 or put some kind of metal mesh to finish off the lower spoiler.

Thanks dude. I talked to the paint guy about options, and he laid out some tape like the 2nd example you posted. I'm glad I did it the first way, no offense to the owner of the 2nd car.
Yeah I will do something about the opening in the rear lip. For now I painted the brackets behind it with black plastidip. It looked really stupid seeing the white tow hook and brackets through there!
Here's another pic while I'm at it, whoring it up.

Car looks clean =)
Might I suggest 07/08 base tails?

Personally I prefer the '06 all red tails on a WDP, but I appreciate all constructive suggestions! When I first got the car I wanted the 07+ base or Type S tails, but when I stepped back and thought about it I realized I only wanted those because they were NOT the stock lights. Considering the options on their own merits based only on the way they look on WDP, I realized I prefer the solid red with a light tint.
Oh and I stopped at the exhaust shop today and they were able to bend down the hanger on the passenger side so the tip isn't touching the lip, and is even with the driver's side. Also one of the exhaust hangers had snapped off of the XLR8 exhaust so they welded that back on. And they didn't charge me anything, FTW. I slipped the kid 5 bucks who did the work though.
