that's right. This was my first detailing job after doing some reading at autopia. I made a few mistakes and i know i could have made a better job, but i was satisfy with my result cause i look almost fresh painted with a very glossy look.

Yea ive noticed that too, its possible that the previous owner was in an accident and replaced the bumper which didnt have the letters filled in, i know the bumper was off before i got it because it was missing a few of the clips... IDK man its a mystery to me too.

I see what you see. Ive read alot that painted grills chip easily so i put on a couple extra coats of wax and i didnt have a chance to clean it up completely before i took the picture because the sun was going down.

Your bumper was replaced by a body shop that didn't use genuine Acura parts. I know that another company makes a replica Acura TL bumper for cheaper than OEM that many body shops will use as the difference is subtle.

I used 15 dollar vinyl overlays off ebay which are peices of shit! the driver side one actually came half off when they were unmasked at the paintshop so when i reapplied it there's a crease in the middle of it, fortunately you can't see it unless your close up. On my sidemarkers i used VHT nightshade and that stuff is AWESOME. problem is its permanent so i didnt want to use it on my tails.

Just curious how the Maaco paint job held up over the years. I'm about to get mine repainted, and I'm even thinking about changing the color.
