Believe it or not i did take it to Maaco, and they did a fantastic job. the paint job was 800 and there were a couple dents that was 150 to take out. so the whole thing was 950. there are a couple dirt spots in the paint that they are going to wet sand out for me when i get a chance to take it back. also the only problem ive noticed with taking it to maaco is when they were reasembling the car they did a pretty shitty job and either put some trim peices on wrong or broke them, i took off and put back on right most of them but the ones they broke they promised to replace. overall very happy with how the paint came out and the customer service they gave me

Hmm I wouldn't say it's great. I see Orange Peel all over the paint. Not a mirror finish.

But if it makes you happy, good deal then!

be careful with maaco i had a horrible experience with the paint 1 year after painting. I did everything right to prevent fading and flaking but i guess sometimes you get what you pay for. None the less the car looks good

Thanks ill keep an eye on it. there is a five year warranty and the owner stays true to his word so if i notice any fading ill bring it back asap

Hmm not exactly sure what your looking at but the car looks like it just came from the factory, no orange peel at all

Yea, there definately is some orange peel. The last two pics show a decent amount, but thats why they are wet sanding and buffing it out. Paint looks great but will look even better when they do the final touches.

I'm considering taking my 99 TL with 180,000 mi. to maaco and have it resprayed.

To the orange peel comments- I'm pretty sure if this NBP was placed next to another NBP, you wouldn't be able to tell which one was repainted. Just sayin.

IF I can see the orange peel in the pictures, then it will really stick out in person. No doubt that car has orange peel as you can see it easily in 1,2,4,6 pictures.

So why did you paint the whole car, i don't get it. I am sure you could have gotten it detailed and brought it to a mirror finish. And, do you actually live in NP because i have not seen this car at all.

I actually was thinking about getting a flat black but that would involve alot more disassembly and painting every inch of the car therefore costing more money which i dont have

I got a great deal on the car based on the sol reason it was pretty badly scratched and faded. My dad used to own a detailing supplies company so trust me, we spent many hours trying to get that car to sparkle again but it just wasnt good enough for me.

Yea i live in north potomac lol. there are oodles of TL's around here so keep on looking. By any chance does your car have vinyl smoked tails and headlights with aspec kit and painted black rims because thats one of the few modded TL's ive seen around here

The pictures/lighting depict it a little weird but i can assure you there is no orange peel. it looks like the car came from the factory. your gonna have to trust me on this one as much as you apparently want the car to look bad, the paint, in my opinion, looks fantastic.
