I started out the ijdmtoy bulbs and harness, but the bulbs began to flicker about two years after having them - I have slowly been switching up to Diode Dynamics for all my bulbs though -
My current Diode Dynamics Bulb lineup -
-Switchback turn signals
-lower fog led bulbs
-inner drl led bulbs
-license plate led bulbs
My only issue so far was when I initially installed my switchbacks - the passenger bulb stopped working, so I claimed warranty and got sent a new bulb no questions asked within 2 days. I have had the switchbacks for a over a year, the inner drl bulbs since March, the lower fog bulbs since july and the license plate bulbs for a few months - all have been working great.
You can still use the DD bulbs - just need to get the wiring harness/decoder

Could you send me exact P?N that you ordered? I was on their website and it had an option to add a wiring decoder thing....the one's I ordered today didn't have that option. Something in me bones says that I didn't order the right thing. If not hopefully I can throw em in the fogs cuz I plan on going back to non yellow fogs in the spring.
i'm a vleds fan but i believe DD is a great company too

As the LED's draw less power you will get the light on the dash and they will be partially dim - i used the harness i had with my ijdmtoy kit - just employed the DD bulbs instead...not sure if you can just use load resistors on the bulbs or you need the harness

no problem bro, i hear ya on the family being sick - those days are not fun! I've never been in that situation before though, strange how much of a domino effect it has, just takes one up-chucking to start the cycle lol

Honestly I think the 19's look a little too big, I got a killer deal so I swooped. I really want a set of 18's becuz I think that is the optimal look for the 3G as many others have rocked 18's and it looks better and I'm sure the ride is as well. I change my mind on what I want like my 2 year old changes out fits in a day

So I got my LED DRLs all squared away this weekend. It was kind of a mind game, the harness came with no directions and the video Boose posted no help either. It did show me what not to do, even in the comments the guy said his lights weren't working. I looked at other related videos and diagrams in the web and figured it out. I made a DIY video but I'll have to edit them all together. I had no help filming so I had to make it in sections.
Step 1: Connect ground wire to negative terminal.
Step 2: Connect harness to OEM (blue) socket. * Passenger side will have the orange load resitor with no connection to harness.
Step 3: Connect female end of harness to male end bulb and place in housing.
Step 4: Insert Red wire w/ metal tab into last Connector of harness.
Step 5: Connect positive cable to positive terminal on battery.
Here is the last video I did with quick synopsis.

Ok so here are all the steps via video. I was to lazy to splice them all together, each one is about 30 seconds long. I want to thank Boose and the Ziners. You led me in the right direction and I figured out the rest.

Hey no worries man, honestly. I appreciate the info you gave me....I'm a pretty resourceful fella!! that's one thing the military has taught me, be stubborn and don't give up. I wasn't on all week because I was fighting a battery issue. I recently changed the terminals on the positive side due to corrosion. I needed a crimper but didn't have one. I bought some terminals that had a sleeve instead of the open ended version. Used a pair of vice grip's to pinch the wires down and problem solved. Finding the root cause was a pain though. It was weird becuz sometimes my car would start then it wouldn't, I was lost but last Friday I had the hood up and was messing around and low and behold I bumped the wire and all the electronics came on.

So I went ahead and bought this. Having bought a CAI for every car I've owned (Last 3 have been Injen) I know their basically all the same. I'm going for aesthetics's becuz I like the way it looks better than stock. Might have it powered coated red though as that's what I'm going with for other parts inside the engine bay.

All squared away, 90 minutes worth of work. The cone is being pushed in a tad by the fog lights but no biggie. I was going to powder coat it red but the shop was closed. Also went to the Pic A Part to grab a valve cover, engine bay covers, Red OEM tails, seat covers, and front sway bar. Unfortunately holiday hours had them closed at 1300, I got there At 1345!!

I just went through this whole thread and the CGP really grew on me. For wheels, I feel like a alloy silver would really look good, or even a dark bronze (not copper). The headlight rings really pop out too, i love it. I painted mine a torque n teal blue, and I love it. Best of luck to future mods :P

I totally agree with you on dark bronze!! I just get so bored so easily hahaha thank you ADHD Haha, I sold those headlights and got some Type S ones. CGP has some blue and green flakes in it when get that shine to pop out. Not a mod but my next step is changing the brakes, I can feel them fading fast. Seems like every time I get enough saved up to buy the aspec or seat covers some maintenance pops up. I hate being an adult
