Hey Y'all - here is a teaser photo - we had our annual Acura Crew Fest this year located in Orlando, (previous years had been in North Carolina), i attached the rest of my shots in the regions section - southeast - check them out! https://acurazine.com/forums/southea.../#post16088652
I just picked up a new lens - a 50mm prime - man it a complete difference, really brings out that bokeh!
been thru this thread, nice car lot of work done, all in all nice transformation, have You done something in interior ? didnt see any pictures
In my opinion ( only mine, i could be wrong ) one pipe doesnt look nice , like downgrading that classy TL look
doing something different as You said, doesnt always mean better, especially when I see this nice bumper kit that You have with that big hole.
Simply clean would be simply clean without all these f&f stickers..
Wheels are sick but tire still looks too thick , I would go with 255/30 to eliminate offroad look with such a nice wheels.
Fam, it's been a while. Had a heck of a lot of things go down since I last logged in - and that was Feb/2018. Long Story short, my wife had been diagnosed with a liver disease and in February of last year she had a near death experience, i won't fill in the details, but they stabilized her, and then through answered prayers - she finally got a call for a liver in April, and received her transplant. So so much happened last year - it was hard to keep up with things. But here we are nearly 1 year and 7 months later she is doing amazingly well - and healthier than ever!
I did managed to get some work and updates on the TL this past few months. Namely redid the headlights - changed the color scheme from purple to red, installed Diode Dynamics LED Strips, did the EndlessRPM Carbon Fiber Sharkmouth, SFactor Fabrication Front splitter, and finally decided to join the real wheels gang with set of Weds Kranze Erm. I have the Innovative Mounts i need to install, and I am working on skinning some pieces in carbon fiber (hope to have them finished here in the next week.)
Enjoy some updated shots -

Welcome back. First and foremost I am happy to hear your wife is doing better. Had to be some scary shit to go thru. Car looks nice and I like the wheel choice!

One of my biggest fears is losing my fiancee now that I know she exists in this world it's tough to ever picture
going on adventurous vacations or do anything else major in life without her.
Obviously biggest is my daughter...but still, I can commiserate.
So glad things turned around for you two.
The car is cool, of course...I was a huge fan of that copper fake wheels though, I can't lie.

to you, man.
Thanks Jer, appreciate it brotha Yeah, I did enjoy the fake wheels too, but wanted to get back into a mesh wheel.
So I took some time to restore the outer lens. They were really showing their age. Yellowing, outer layer of plastic fading..etc. So I utilized the Chemical Guys yet again to work through the process.
Started with wet sanding with 2000, then 3000, the ran through V32, V34, V36, and lastly V38 for the compounds and polishing. Then closed it out with Jetseal to keep all that work protected. Then I also decided to apply some Lamin-X as a last stage to add some subtle change to the look of the car, while giving another layer of protection to the lens.
Below is the before on the left side and afters on the right side on each headlight
Here is the shot of the lens with the Lamin-X installed - i used the tinted ones (lightest tinted after the clear film)
Here is both of them installed, looks pretty good to me, and haven't noticed any change in the light output of the headlights
I like that tinted look, adds nicely to the aggressive front end, but how does it affect your light output?
Light output not really affected - here is a comparison - top is without the film, and bottom is with it

I may decide to go to clear eventually - wanted to see how the tinted would look, it's not too bad with the sun out - you can still see the modded insides
