How much you paid for the coilovers? Also, where did you get them from?

I don't know, but a drop along with an Aspec Kit gives the TL a longer, sexier look. The entire car looks better this way.

How was the install on these coilovers? Direct bolt on with top hat swap?

I know the TSX needs the rear coilovers to be grinded down... but does the TL require that too? I came from a TSX too! LOL

I'm in need of a drop badly but trying to wait for the HT spec ones too... Anyways clean car with those VSXX got those on my car right now too riding 4x4 sucks!

you just need to switch the top hats for the fronts. i bought new mounts, washer and that rubber piece that sits inside the top hat. 5 mins to switch everything over and then the coilovers go right in.

as for the rear i used 2 washers on each side, nothing had to be grounded down. having a 4x4 does suck man...i spoke with Marcus from Heeltoe and we both came to the conclusion that the F2 kit thats out right now isnt right for the car..it wasnt right when i had it for the TSX. i have 5 inches left to bring the rings on the coilvers down and sometimes the right fron shock still bottoms out..it did the same thing when i had it on the TSX as well. the right is good with the F2 kit that i have no but it should be perfected. im going to get the HT-Spec kit when it comes out sometime in september (estimated time)

I believe he is using the TSX ones from what I see in his posts. We are using the Accord ones on my girl's Type S. The rears were a direct swap but the fronts needed some MacGyvering to get them to work.

When swapping out the stock Type S top hat with the F&F one the threaded end of the shock rod/shaft did not leave enough threads for the nut to thread on to. I ended up cutting one of the rubber bushings in 1/2 to expose enough thread to be able to thread the nut on.

Once the TL specific top hats are available I'll probably end up purchasing those and swapping them.

*Sorry for the thread hijack blacktsx05. By the way your car looks great. We have the same wheels and suspension on my girls car .
