Blacked Out, Cleared, or Smoked...
I want to deamber my headlights and I don't know which route to go... I either wanted to match the smoke chrome in the rear S tails, or clear them to match the black chrome Aspec wheels, or blacked out to go with the front end. Whatcha think???

My wheels are the black chrome but I like the blacked out look... How about the best of both worlds -----BLACK CHROME PAINT

When I had my SSM, I blacked mine out and left the amber in. During the day they looked totally blacked out but the turn signals were still clearly visible and at night they looked pretty much stock with plenty of output from the turn signals. PM me if you've got any questions about my setup.

I think fully blacked out (don't forget to paint the fog light bulb cover too) is the best look. If you can get your hands on Type-S diffusors, even better but I wouldn't suggest removing the amber one.
I would leave it or at the very least cut it. If you ever cut it remember you'll have to get switchbacks because it will look like crap. Also, I don't like how the bulb looks with the diffusor removed/cut. I think the turn signal diffusor sets are car apart from the rest at night; I can always tell a TL in my rear view mirror by the amber turn signal in my rear view at night. I wish I hadn't cut mine.
Here's my car; housing painted gloss black, amber diffusor cut short.
heres an example of what my cousin did on his SSM. Blacked out headlight, left amber diffusor, plastidipped grill "A Bar"
