Haven't been around much lately... was wondering if anyone found the Black Chrome emblems anywhere else or has anyone ordered them from Flow Acura in Winston Salem, NC?
I already have mine I was just going to buy an extra set.

Over here in LA you can come back to your car and find it de-badged real quick.

It hasn't happened to me personally, but I do know of a few people it has happened to.

Not just ACURA emblems either, HONDA emblems too!

These Black Chrome are at a premium so i wouldn't be surprised if one day I came back to my car and found my Black Pearl Emblem missing.

Yeah, I think its mostly younger cats who can't really afford to fix up their cars.

They want new emblems for their older civics / hondas, some actually want to replace their ACURA emblems with Honda emblems???

You ship him the emblems and he will ship them back
(at your expense i assume)

Yeah that isn't really bad I just haven't had the time to get it done.

Again.... I just wanted to have an extra for a back up.
So I am not in that much of a hurry.

maybe I should see if I could buy a bulk of emblems from my dealer and ship them off to him myself, hell I have 4 days off a week, its not like I dont have the time..

im just going to take them off and spraypaint them flat black -_- i can't justify spending 100 ish dollars to color my emblems... hell im thinking about debadging the entire car and filling in the holes.

I spoke with Mr. Chrome today. He said he doesn't do black chrome anymore because of the lack of interest. For $30-35 he will do a different process called tinting. I'm not sure what this is but apparently the logos are just coated with something. He said it's pretty sturdy and has worked so far. I'm not too sure about this.

So... I searched around and found Atlas Plating in Houston. The guy qouted me $20 a piece for black chrome. The sample he has is real dark b/c a customer requested it. I don't know how the "light" black chrome will look so please don't blame me for any mishaps.

That doesn't look like a Black Pearl Chrome, but it doesn't look bad either.

Especially at that price.

Has anyone painted the emblems the color of their car? I've seen this treatment on other cars, and it is very subtle.

I don't think so. But I know Trance painted an extra set he had Black.
It didn't look bad.

But he also had already bought a Black Chrome set from WEIR CANYON ACURA here in So Cal. the thing is they sold out and have decided not to carry them anymore.

I'll bet Trance would post some pics of the one he painted, once he sees this post.
