Damn idk what is causing the clunking noise. I changed out the end links with moog end links yesterday and the noise got a little better but there's still the noise. Might be the rack and pinion bushing or sway bar bushings ?

Nice progress so far! Where'd you get your HT shift set from, Heeltoe? Also, is it a short shifter?

So I was heading to the la zoo today coming down from Griffith park when some dumb driver decides to cut me off. I made a sharp right turn to try and avoid him and I went straight into the curb.. Damages I can see so far are; side skirts, fenders, mudflaps, brake lines, axle, lower ball joint , oil filter has puncher hole due to axle hitting the filter. I have no information of the other driver but I'm wondering if my insurance will cover it ?

Hope the tow truck person was carefull pulling the car up on the ramp. They sometimes scratch up the rear end mufflers and bumpers on lowered cars. I even had a tow truck guy deny me service because car was too low.

Oh almost definitely...If this is a first offense/claim on your insurance, then it shouldn't be too bad (+10-20/mth). If you have a number of claims (e.g. tickets, wrecks, etc), then your rate is likely to sky rocket.

So the progess is coming along slowly but surely.. Went to the body shop on my day off and helped out on whatever I can. I installed a new axle, spindle, end links, oil filter and oil. I also took off my front coilovers and got them replaced brand new under warranty ( yuppie ) ..

Also I'm getting a new front pass rim and 2 tires ( insurance covering it )

Fender, door and front bumper are getting painted on Monday and hopefully ill be getting the car back within this week. Sucks being car less !

Haha. That's true but might as well get tires since its free from the insurance just shoot me the size for the is300 and ill give you a price. My car should be done this week most likely since it went into the paint booth today.

Mostly just painting the bumper/front end and pass door.

So the new rim is here and oh boy does it look good ! Forgot how sexy they look without no brake dust or corrosion.. I guess I'll have to send the other 3 rims to match this one.

This is for laugh and giggles. Thought this was creative ! Budda anyone ?

I hope you car comes back ok... I just got my TL back from the body shop for the second time (not satisfied with the first repair) and I had to replace all the missing/damaged clips and now it needs a window run channel. Just double check everything... Good luck

Thanks ill will double check everything but I'm not worried since this is my uncles body shop. I just went there today during lunch and it looks like its coming along nicely... I should be getting the car back tomorrow and its my day off so hopefully I get to spend some time with it ( lol ! ) .

Only thing needed for the car now is to install the side a spec kit and rear Aspec lip. Then bringing it to work to align it myself

WDP 6spd!! What a combo! Did you ever find out what was causing the clunking noise?

I am experiencing the same thing. It started right after I installed my TL-S FSB and my endlinks with MOOG. I am pretty sure I also replaced the bushings too. It happens EVERY time I back out of my driveway and turn the wheel left. what could it be???

I replaced the end links but noise was still there. I tried to replicate the noise when my car was up on the lift and I nailed it down to my coilovers. Got the coilovers replaced free of charge thanks to my boy Preston from f2. I got my car back today before work and the noise is gone! No more floaty boat ride or clunking noise on every crack on the road haha. Now I have this slight vibration during take off. I'm thinking its my comp bushings on the lower A arm ? Those are shot or sure.

I adjusted and measured both front coilovers and made sure it was even. Did the 4 wheel alignment. Overall the car and paint matches and looks good my uncle even repainted my front lip and bumper ( he even did my grill white which I hate !!! But I told him to remove the paint which hopefully he will do later on today )

Btw my uncle even threw in a spec sides and a spec rear lip free of charge
It feels so good to finally have my car back cheers!

Glad to hear its lookin better. I actually figured out what the noise on mine was too. For me apparently it had something to do with one of the nuts on the lower control arm. It was loose and once it was tightened it up I haven't heard it since.

Glad you got your car back. Need to adjust the rear aspec lip nearest the tire so that it matches the factory bumper seam.

Maybe leave the front grill as-is for now. Got any pics in the sunlight?
