No bones about it, I'm totally STOCK but the Type-S in CBP still brings on the looks!
Realized that since I bought her the girl has never been washed & waxed correctly (nope, I rejected dealer 'wash' because they use the dreaded brushes that scratch)...so called my buddy Super Mario (that's his car wash biz name LOL) and he hooked a brotha up!
So, so much better now with a proper cleaning (after having her for nearly 6 months)...
Thanks man, yours looks pretty stock too at first glance.
Main reason why I'm preferring a more stock look is because here in Vegas there be HATERS everywhere. They wanna touch your ride, they wanna key your ride, they wanna jack your ride...the more attention it brings the more likely a target you are. And older Hondas/Acuras get stolen here like gangbusters.
Just a few weeks ago, I was at work and went out for lunch and some DUDE was there by my car running his hand over her curves! Some random DUDE (although I work right near an old folks facility)! I get over there and dude goes, "I like your car, can I get a ride somewhere?" I had to tell him to step the HELL off! So friggin' strange.
It was washed (unfortunately) by the dealership the day before I purchased it back in April. I detailed the inside first thing with leather cleaner & interior protector (luckily the interior was 90% still clean). It hardly rained this past summer in Vegas, but on the few days it did I wiped her off with a chamois. I do near every other day dusting & quick detail spray of the car to keep her clean otherwise, and near DAILY wiping of her rims to keep them lookin' presentable. I'm just too damn cheap to constantly waste money on a car wash, and water conservation here in the desert is a must.
This past week was the first time she was ever fully washed, waxed & detailed. She glows!
