aznbo187's TL Time Trail
I need to reminisce about my TL a little, so I figure I make a time line thread.
First, start music.
Alright so here she is, almost stock with 5% tints and OEM window visors. I was young and 5% tints were a cool idea, in my head.
Went for a bunch of cruises and canyon runs with the car (I think this is where I got hooked).
Then finally got her lowered on Tein Basics and blacked out my headlights. Enjoyed it for a while like this.
Also smoked the emblems with a tint spray, but it didn't last long and the pressure washer took it right off. Looked wicked though.
I don't know why I did this, but I wanted yellow tinted side view glass...
Anyway, she sat for this for a few months and I wanted some bigger, flashier wheels. I wanted to be cool. I saw Revolution get some Privat Netz for cheap so I went with a staggered setup. I also decided to clear the headlights to give it more chinga-ling bling-blang!
Found Tim was doing a GB on the A-Spec kits a while later and couldn't pass up a good deal.
At the same time, I was still messing with the idea of Quads on the base bumper. Never really sat right for me, but you guys be the judge? Kinda looking back, this is a possibility STILL.
Marcus said hey come over have some free $500 front brake rotors. I said Yes! and then I woke up and paid for them.
After a few more months or so of rockin' the 19's, I decided I want to go back to stock until I figure out what I want to do with my life!
I attended my first track event after that, and I think I was hooked on phonics.
Decided I needed to lose more weight, so I started gutting the rear, and relocated the battery to balance the weight a bit more.
...somewhere in between here and then is where ATLP started..
And then I decided to go with some 18" Work emotions.
As well as more track events.
At this point I felt the 18's were too big so I went with 17x9.5 RPF1's. Fronts didn't fit and the fenders needed a lot of pulling. So I pulled it. A lot.
On went the new wheels with the meaty rubbers (275/40). Stiffer custom suspension.
More weight removed. More safety removed, because who wants to be safe, right?
Green wheels were cool. Or at least they looked like it in my head (again!)
Added a cool steering wheel release module.
Trunk is now extended into rear cabin.
Time attack rolling shot with the final wheels/setup.
Decided to sponsor a Razor Race Scooter. Jk!
How she sat at the end of the day, along with a Race edition ATLP system. (big story about what happened to that too, if you guys remember the scammer).
More track time in it's track attire. TL-rs? lol

Thank you for stepping into a TL. You have help revolutionized the car into what it is now for the mod community. I really think you have a market out there for the quad exhaust on the base bumper.

mike's just a car dude... I won't lie but some of us wish they could create a brand such like you did... atlp is what I think of when I hear a wot tl trying to pass me
