Auto Club Speedway (Auto X Practice)- 1/31/09

Just thought I'd share a couple pics my wife took of me at the track today with her P/S. I wanted to ask her to take pics of some of the other cars there (there were all different kinds), but I forgot!

Excuse the picture quality. Otherwise...Enjoy!

My 2nd best run of the day

My best run was in the 75's. The best run of the day overall was made by someone driving an Evo VIII (58's).

All-around, it was a great experience, being my first time. I did 7 runs, and cut out 18 seconds from my worst/best run! On a couple ride alongs I went on with an instructor, I definitely saw and appreciated the art of expert driving (which I lack). The experience got my heartrate up, and wore the tread on my tires down.

I can't wait to do it again!

wow looks like alot of fun i would love to do something like that... car looks great too now i see why you switched up your wheels

Yeah, I definitely miss my Works, but they wouldn't have worked for the track.

man scott.. that got all condensed... i see how bad it is..

such bad quality work from me..

MONDAY!!! time to get rid of it...

for quick fix... get a blow dryer and blow hot air at it.. haha. thats what i did with mine

They're 17x8, +35 all around.

The instructor never drove my car, but he did drive a STOCK Kia Rondo (for the first time) with 4 people in the car total, and still posted a 83 second run!!! Like I said, driving skill is definitely apparent.
