Aspec suspension pic request
hey guys I need a pic of a tl on aspec suspension and a tl on tein ss. debating on which i should get. Im leaning towards aspec but everyone seems to lean towards tein ss. I would like to see a pic of the two, then maybe I can decide on which to get. Thank you guys

Id say it depends on where u live, the road conditions and the type of drop u want. the aspec is made to be driven a majority of the time and can handle shitty roads once and a while. the tein ss can as well but its a bit more sportier. i personally wouldnt be driving the car all the time if i had teins on. I had tein springs then went to tein ss and now im on aspec because of the traveling i do i dont want things breaking or wearing prematurely because of suspension reasons.

I'm considering the A Spec springs on my '08 TL-S as well as I don't want to sacrifice much comfort...just want to tighten the wheel gap a bit for 18s like yours. Our roads are crap up here as well and I gotta think about snow. How does the A Spec compare to stock and since it's a relatively mild drop can I change just the springs?
Thanks in advance...

i have the aspec on mine, and i have driven a stock tl, and there is a night and day difference between the two. a nice looking drop with MUCH improved handling without sacrificing the ride quality.

I had Aspecs and now I am on Tein SS. Aspec rides nice but I hate the drop, for me it was uneven and sat higher in the front. That and it wasn't low enough. The ride was great though. Personally though I think the Tein SS rides just as nice at the same height as the Aspec but with Teins you have the option to go lower if you want. Obviously the lower you go, the more ride quality you sacrifice.

the a-spec rides awesome for a daily driver but the drop isn't that good. depends on whether you want a big drop or not. the teins can get choppy and harsh over bad roads and highways but if u have baller wheels u need a baller drop.

the different year and auto/manual tranny a-spec shock kits are based on the weights of the tl. the type-s' are heavier. the manuals are lighter. etc.

btw, when i got mine, the AT 07-08 cost a bit more than the 04-06, i asked the guy at the desk and he told me the drop is more balanced and stiffer.. i asked if they have anything backing that up..they just said that's what they were told. i call bs to that tho..

Actually, you can get just the aspec springs from me (I'm going to post them in the BM soon... PM me if you're interested... they're the 6MT springs which are lower in the front because of the lighter tranny) because I just got the neuspeed supercup kit. I would be selling the shocks too, but I just have the front shocks... the rears already started leaking oil.

^^^the TL will only sit slightly lower IF the car is a 5AT with the 6MT springs.

I'm planning to get the ASPECS on my 6-SPD , after the install, (new ASPEC suspension kit) Do i need to let them settle in for about 2 months, and THEN get an alignment? Or do i do it right away?

unless you drive hard and long on the car, wait for 2 weeks i guess.. especially when it's brand new

Three Wheelin'
If you have mt a specs on an auto a spec car then it will settle as low as that black car. If you have mt aspecs on an mt aspec then the front will sit a little higher.

That drop is really nice. What year aspec suspension is that?

Got my M/T on Auto A-spec installed today and I am quite the happy camper with the drop, it gave me a little over an inch, I was sitting at 27" in the front and now I am a little under 26". I snapped a few pics for today, i'll get better ones tomorrow.
