While changing the brake lines, the mechanic told me that I needed new lower control arms.. that might be the reason why I hear a light knock coming from the passenger side wheel every time I hit a bump. I was told from others this may also be caused by the sway bar end links. If I were to replace the lower control arm, are there any other parts I might as well replace that'll probably need replacing soon (i.e. lower ball joints, sway bar end links?)?

Might as well get a swaybar.. I know there are 2 bushing that I've seen people replace from Energy suspension.

Picked up coilovers locally last night from faceman1! Don't know if I should wait until after winter passes to put them on or put them on now.

Anybody know what the maximum height of the F&F Type 2s? I'm going to throw on the winter setup soon and was just curious. I might install the coils with the max height and drop it a bit when the spring comes.

And another issue just came up. I think my engine mounts are shot, at least one of them. When I reverse, I hear vibration coming from the passenger side wheel well. In the morning there's vibration as well when I put it in either drive or reverse. Nothing in neutral though. Looks like my car is finally showing its age.

Some more mods

Shout out to JnC for modding the tails. Great guy! Always does good work.

He ran into some minor hiccups while tinting but he gave me a heads up and went out of his way to fix the problem just so I could receive a flawless product. Now that's what I'm talking about for customer service!

Thanks swoosh, these are OEM 07-08 tails w/ the clear diffuser tinted. I originally planned on getting Type-S tails but I changed my mind after seeing a few members with the tinted 07-08 tails.

Got the coils installed this weekend. I'll post up pics when I get a chance later today.

Is it me or is the max height on the F&F Type 2's pretty low? I'm on 1/2" thread in the lower bracket and I used the recommended pre-load settings. The car is dropped with a 1 finger (maybe 1.5 finger) wheel gap up front. ~25" from the ground to fender.

Here are some pictures I took last night with the car dropped 1 to 1.5 finger gap all around.

Sorry for the blurry night shots from my phone. I'll try to take pics on the DSLR after I get home from work.

+1 on the exhaust tips, but otherwise I love this car. Very nicely done all around

I'll be installing Tein SA soon, and I'll have them near their highest setting for the winter. Hopefully I'll have a little more than 1 finger gap for those snowy days. I'll let you know how they compare.

Haha yeah.. I'll try to get the exhaust tips cleaned this week. Yeah definitely let me know how the Tein SAs are. I'm a little disappointed that the max height is only 1 finger gap. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

Thanks for the compliments guys.

It wasn't too hard, the concept was pretty easy. We ran into a problem removing the bottom bolt (flange bolt I believe?) from the fork. Happened on both sides in the front end of the car. Worked from 2:30PM to about 7PM at night. I'm sure if my buddy and I were to do it again, we would get it done in less time. I ended up paying someone to do my rears yesterday after the AcuraZine BBQ.. I didn't have time to do the rears (my buddy also wasn't free) and I didn't want to ride with stock suspension on the rear and coils in the front as I commute around 60 miles a day haha. Overall I'm really happy with how the coils ride and I like how the car looks lowered.

Looks great! I'd lower the front a little bit to even the gap all around.
