ACURA Frt bumper decal pics

Today i detailed my car and also added the ACURA front bumper decals in brushed aluminum which i ordered from Veneerz.com. I also took some other pics of my old accord (now my moms car) with my stock tl wheels...

The chrome looks good on WDP. Do you have any more pics of your car? I'm very close to buying a white with the light interior.

Do I have pics of my car?! Yeah, I've got some.

My car is actually a good amount different right now from what you'll find in any of those pics, but they're all -- more or less -- what it looks like, especially the first link after the headlight clearing.

That's a sweet car! The one I'm looking at has the light interior...I'd prefer the ebony. Can you tell me more about the highlited mods (above). The welcome and disclaimer hack sound like a must do. Does it jump straight to the gps map now?

I did my headlight clearing with the help of a few DIYs on here, as well as with some guidance by our vendor, Retrofit-Source, who I referred to AZ myself. He does the headlight clearing mod for (I want to say) $135 or $150, and a lot of people have had it done. Check out the Black Market and go to the Sponsored Sales & Group Buys section. You can get all the details from there as far as how to get yours done.

I'm not sure if you're into doing it yourself, so that's why I pointed you there. If you do want to do it on your own, it's a pretty inexpensive modification. The hardest part is getting the courage to put the lights into an oven. There are a lot of DIYs on here, so the information is out there as far as how to get it done on your own. PM me if you want me to help you out with that.

Yeah it does make the car look great - I have the Carbon Fiber on my ASM - too bad RI makes me put that stupid front plate on to cover it up.

One of these days I'm going to go front plate - less and see how long it takes to get pulled over

Do the decals come with some sort of adhesive to apply on the car..or do you have to use like a double sided 3M tape or somethin

They are a sticker of sorts - peel the backing off the letter and apply. Really easy and adds a nice touch

The way Acura has the lettering on the front, inset and what not, is the way it should remain to me. To bring it out with the different colored letters, chrome, CF, and what not, cheapens the look (rice) and is akin to advertising to me...and I can't get with that. I like the subtle look. That reminds me too much of people putting their car name on their tag. WTF??? Shit, I don't even want my tag on the front of my car! Fucks up my stealth theme!! As soon as I get me some plugs, that damn thing is in the trunk with a fake ass story prepared for the cop stop! Ya know?
Anyway, to each his own...

Darky......... That's hardly "rice".....

If the way Acura did things was perfect none of us would change or add anything to our cars.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I'm gonna run with this look for a while and see if I like it in the end. As it is now, with the new lettering, I like it, but I'm not sure I love it. There was something about the subtlety of the non-accented lettering down there that was always kind of appealing to me.

I think what I really need to do to get the look I want is to get legit chrome for those lower grills, instead of that crapper door edge guard nonsense that I have now. I need more lustrous/shiny material down there than what I currently have.

Nice pictures. No tint yet? How difficult was the navi disclaimer and welcome hack? Not sure what you mean by changed interior or side3 marker LED's. Aren't they just bulbs?

The lights in the side markers are LEDs. I changed my front side markers from amber color to white, to help match my theme a little better. The interior lights, yes, those are bulbs from the factory. I removed the bulbs and replaced them with white LEDs.

The navi disclaimer hack is a little tricky, but doable if you've got decent computer (PC) skills. Macnutz need not apply unless you have a Windows operating system. The "splash screen" -- where it normally says "Acura Navigation System" and has a picture of Earth and space -- is pretty easy to hack. Again, though, you definitely need some computer skills.

What color does everyone think will look good on anthracite. i was thinking carbon fiber, and also silver to match with the grill. But domeddecals on ebay said that the bright silver looks like chrome almost.

I didnt have any problems at all, all i did when installing was clean the area with isopropyl alcohol let it dry and then stuck the letters on. I didnt use the stick of glue or whatever given because i didnt want it to mess up the paint and it said to apply it to the corners when installing the dash kit so i disgaurded it. My letters seem to be sticking great, they have lasted 3 washes and lots of afternoon rain so far!

Did you guys take off the red 3M part on the back of the letters like it says in the instructions? it seems like that is the adhesive you would be taking off...

The red part is the protective backing to the tape, you have to peel that off to get the sticky part of the tape!

Ray, I think I have an extra set of plugs if you're interested.. Anything to get rid of that damn WDP off your front bumper lol I guess they'll fit even though mine is for 07-08? I would think the holes are the same size, if not I would just ask that you send them back to me
