408UASIKKTL Progress Thread

Introducing myself after a long time of lurking. Out here in San Jose, CA and I'm always driving around. This will be where I keep tracks of my progress and take pretty pictures. Have owned my TL for 3 years.

20 inch wheels do not get a lot of love on this forum. However, big wheels was a thing when I grew up and I don't think I will go smaller than 19's ever in my life. Will be the 1st TL to be static, slammed, and scraping on 20's. Camber kit and one inch wheel spacers going in the rear once parts come in. new to the forums, but far from a rookie

I don't mind big wheels if the look good. I just can't give up the comfy ride with a smaller wheel with taller side wall. Kudos for being different!

I can't stand beefy tire setups! I had 17's on this before and it looked like dog shit... I'm lowered on coilovers on the stiffest setting I gave up ride comfort a long time ago LOL

Looks good. There are a couple more members who are actually lowered on 20s as well. One in Sac with a RJ body kit slammed on 20s, and someone local in the Bay lowered on 20s.

20's are a tad big for the body IMO, but that's not to say it doesn't look good.
Keep on keepin on

Been lagging on getting modifications added and focusing on aesthetics and maintenance. Detailing is my main focus before hitting the summer weather when I can't do it. Painted my wheels a blueish gray. Quick wax touchup after 6 hours being on the road with bug blood all over my windshield and bumper

Been a couple months since I've posted. Dealing with extremely hot temperatures in the Bay Area makes me not wanna work on my car. But I still do.

Got new shoes for my bitch, installed the rear camber kit, blacked out my headlight housing, took out the ugly amber reflector in the headlight... next up is ASPEC!

Been working my ass off to buy more parts. Lol. Got an aspec rear in my color and the front I had to drive 2 hours to get. I have to paint it but so far my car is coming together better a lot better. Might throw on the spacers while I throw on the aspec rear but easier said than done considering where I live.

Shark mouth grill installed
front aspec paint matched installed (got sent semi gloss clear coat when I ordered 2x gloss)
rear A-Spec installed
Took off my license plate and put it in my windshield. Was scared of it starting to scratch my bumper. Thinking about changing my exhaust tips soon to 4/4.5 outlet to compliment the base exhaust. Quads fit more with the Type S A-aspec.

There is a mesh grill, the person I bought this from purchased it brand new from EndlessRPM. Shout out to whoever runs the Acurazine IG for reposting my picture

Been a while since I have posted. Have done lots of stuff, worked my ass off for everything I wanted, unfortunately a hit and run is setting me back MAJORLY. Haven't been able to work or go to school (college student). This is complete BULLS@!T but what can I do about it? Also all I have is liability so I am SOL... Insurance is taking too long to do anything so repairs will have to be out of my own pocket, just my luck. The "accident" happened while my car was PARKED on the street and some drunk drove into my car. Will be changing to full coverage as soon as I can get back to work. Also a security system for my property (happened right in front) and dash cams (front and rear) so insurance can't say I'm lying. NRG wheel
tablet mod + LED
finished result
first test of tablet
red seats
interior shot
new 19" wheels + maxed out on TEIN SA
someone hit and run (bent in and muffler is on the floor pretty sure weld cracked as well
VIP interior stuff

it got towed away today, for the price I paid he said I will have everything back to normal if not better. I enjoyed the steering wheel but neochrome is so rice to me now. I don’t know if i should keep the car or sell it for a IS350/GS450H/LS400/QX56. As it was getting towed today, found a VERY bad leak... can’t tell if it’s transmission, power steering, oil.

Ouch that pains me to see the hit and run, bastards

Unless the front of your car got pushed into something else.... HARD.... the only thing that could possibly leak from that impacted zone is the gas tank/filler neck. If the puddle has evaporated by now, most likely gas.
Sorry again dude.

Car wasn't leaking any time at all when I was driving the car, once I put the car on the tow truck I see a dark fluid on the floor. I smelled it and put it on a napkin. I couldn't tell if it was trans, oil, or power steering fluid. I'm due for maintenance too so once my car is out of the shop I am going to have to put it right back into service. Person who hit and run me is being pursued by insurance/police, going to update police report as soon as I get my ONLY car back.
