3G TL headlight retrofit w/ clear lens and osram 4300k HIDs.

So this is my second pair of custom headlights I blacked out the corners reflectors without the orange I went ahead and painted the Rings black around the projector lens and change the projector lense to clear lens ZKW-R from retrofitsource. Com. I sealed the lights with Butyl rubber from retrofitsource.Com so there should be 0 mousture as well. This is my best retrofit yet and the color is amazing I get compliments everywhere. Led DRL. Dual projector.

This photo was taken close to my home on a dark road. Simply stunning!

Here is a lo,ok at the light output. Sharp cut off. And also a YouTube link.

Fixed your link:

Any other pics of the headlights?
Output looks good... quality of the photos aren't topnotch though. Would love to see more of it.
Not many people here go in the realm of quad projectors so props! Welcome to the club

Well thank you i appreciate the ackknoowledgement. This is my 3rd pair of lights that i have Fabricated. My next project is trying to fit the RLX JEWEL EYES into a 4th Gen TL.

I really enjoy retrofitting HID projectors to see how much sharper i can get it than the previous one. If i could do it proffesionally, I would lol. Yes i will take some better pix today with my other camera. as of right now the "fog" light projector or "extra ones" are not functional. i have yet to decide if i want to proceeed with a yellow HID or just make some demon eyes with a black light LED.but they kind of look illuminated due to the DRLs i have installed.

question... can anyone recomeend a high quality DRL strip? the ones i have ordered on ebay have been sub-par. i currently have about 3 diods out. they arent really noticable but me being a nit picky person about the lights i cant stand it. i want something like these because the amber on the turn signals are NEVER BRIGHT. COMPARED TO THE WHITE DIOD. Any input is appreciated thank you!!

=more pix coming soon.

You mean they are out of place as in not glued on the right spot

Or as in...

Doesn't look right inside at all?

Because I know they are alittle out of place because after I resealed them that came undone. I had to use JB Weld just to get those strips to stay put.... They were tapped down over night while drying because if not they would have came undone due to the flexibility.

^I think he's saying the LED strip you used looks cheap and not fancy like the rest of the headlight.

for example, when Lexus or Audi inserts LED strips into their headlights, it looks stock and it looks like it belongs there......
on your acura, one could tell that it's a fake or not supposed to be in there in the first place....that's what he means by out of place

I agree completely... But I have yet to find an OEM looking strip. I wish they made a flexible metal strip that bends into place.... So not only could you shape it but bend it into the contours of the lights as well.

jewel eye retrofit yet? DO IT

I also saw you had issues with drivers side headlight not turning on and what not. It happened to be the ground near the intake? Can you elaborate more?

heres what I got going on

Jeff, I had an issue like that before as well. I would turn on my headlights with no issues but the driver's side would go out after just a few seconds. I replaced the bulb and didn't have a single issue afterwards

Hey jeff,

Sorry for the late reply. So what happened with me is that all of my lights on the left hand side (Driver) stopped working, starting with the headlight, and continuing with the side marker and turn signals. Well what happened was, i have the AEM V2 CAI. As most 3g TL owners have i think. Anyways, there is a bracket that is attached on the side of this intake and it lines up perfectly with a bolt that houses about 10 different ground wires, LOCATED in the driver side wheel well. Now me thinking that this bolt is specifically made for this bolt i attached the bracket of the intake onto this bolt.

Well turns out that the bracket was not meant to be shared with these ground wires because everything that was connected was not working. it took me about a week to realize this was the problem after changing relays, to wires to fans..... when all i had to do is check the ground wires. anyways i hope this helps but from what yours looks like it seems to be more of a possible ballast issue but if it so happens to be the ground wires... im sorry i dont have a photo but it is located on the frame behind the headlights near the wheel wells.

Nice man!!! Im looking to do the EXACT same thing when i pick up my TL, i assume you used the mini H1 projectors on the DRL section of the headlight? then tapped power and ground from the low beams? is there anyway for that projector to sit back further? And! do you still have the ability to aim the lights up and down?
