You're welcome...well, you're looking for perfection but remember, it's a one off piece...can shift during curing/shipping/painting etc...so many variables so I'd say the fitment is absolute perfection.

Actually, come to think of it, if you like my car I guarantee you in person if I pointed out everything that annoys me about it you'd think it was a huge piece of shit.

Yes it does have it little blotches because of the fiberglass, but its not noticeable, only if you look at it really close. but other than that HeelToe did a good job.

ahaha don't say that. It still looks cool, even for a car being 10 years old. It still looks great but still going to have its cosmetic imperfections suffered through the years.

Thanks Soltek...that's kind to say. She's 12 now! :geezer:
That said, I can tell you guys back when I was contemplating losing the big tall spoiler a few years back...it was one fateful day where I saw that K1B had 1 left...(well, 1 fiberglass one) and I knew I had to have that unique look. I have not gotten compliments on anything more than that spoiler.

I would highly recommend you guys getting the CF one though, probably won't warp as much and will be easier to paint. Mine is wavy as hell on top and my painter did his best TWICE to body work it to be perfect...

CF for me all day. It looks awesome. Fitment doesn't seem like an issue to me, and I actually like the bulkier style. Instead of the spoiler going straight up at a more extreme angle like the KB1spec, it looks like it has more of a gradual incline. I'm guessing its made bulkier to cover the holes and therefore be more cost effective to the buyer (avoiding having to plug holes and paint). Very well done.

I'll post up a couple more pics of mine after I wash the car today - I have the 2x2 carbon twill weave. Fitment is about the same, maybe a tad bit better since it didn't have to be painted. Definitely bulkier than the KB1 parts, and I think its better that way as its significantly more noticeable - Especially in carbon.

I'll say it looks nice...
but I draw the line a saying it looks "better"...

lines of the K1B flow perfectly with the body lines that transition from the sides...
the angle they go up at tapers perfectly...

huge advantage of this new design is that it covers the oem spoiler holes!
What would have been better would have been having the option of double sided bolts to tighten in at the stock hole locations for the type S crowd to be able to use the same hardware.

and holy shit a million times better than this

Agree ^ J, I like the KB1 better than the ATLP. That's not saying I don't like the ATLP one at all because I do and am very happy that Marcus started remaking this product in a market where there is nothing else like it.

Hey rockstar, you used to have the wing right? How did you deal with the 4 mounting holes? I'm thinking of getting rid of my wing too for the CSL from ATLP

i also like the kb1 better but the atlp is still a great alternative to the oem spoiler (even though i like the oem spoiler best).

j: aw those quad exhaust tips are so cute (joking aside your new stance and pics look amazing)

I went on the painstaking mission of having the holes filled and having the trunk repainted...it sucked...but it was worth it...
in the end, save yourself the money...get 2 bumper plugs and buy the ATLP to cover the other 2 holes (shit, if you're lucky it'll almost cover them all!)

your welcome man! and yeah the KB1 CSL goes with the body of the TL. I really like both spoilers KB1 & ATLP. I went with the ATLP since I did like the bulkier look. I should of gotten CF but too late for that.

I will give props to Marcus at HeelToeAuto for replicating the CSL spoiler. He has been giving recommendation on his design and came out great! I am glad he was able to bring back the CSL spoiler! Good work Marcus

On the side note: The reason why it is a bit bulkier is because that I told him to extend the top portion of the spoiler so it will covers up the mounting holes if some TL have OEM spoiler. On the design I had before, I forgot to do that because during that time I was in a rush to showcase my car at the SEMA show and time was short. So I told the TL owners is the only way to cover up the mounting hole is to go to any hardware store and get some rubber plug, sand it down smoothly and use touch up paint to blend it me. So on that I apologize for the rush of the production.

At least on this new design you have no need to worry about it.

Thanks guys for the nice support here. This part was a pretty painstaking part to produce. We revised it 3 times during the shaping process.

The size of the spoiler is a tad larger than we planned, however to get the coverage we needed it was necessary. We only modeled this after the KB1 CSL spoiler in that it is a similar style, but in fact we had an E90 M3 CSL decklid on hand that was also consulted for the scale. Perhaps this contributed to the part being larger. Overall a smaller part has a nice look, but then the fit actually gets harder to get right as well!

We're pretty happy to be producing this part, as well as having brought back the Roof Spoiler and our all-new 3-piece spoiler. Big wins for 2015!

David, my Order Manager, put a ton of work into this as well. He deserves a lot of credit, too.

Marcus

I am not gonna lie, I'm kinda sad that I no longer have a unique look...but at the end of the day, it's great that more people have access to a viable option.

That said, if I'd have gone back in time...I'd have DEFINITELY gone this route...hides the spoiler holes, looks awesome, and affordable considering you can get CF and slap it on NBP without paint.

I would love to help out and produce more but with bad timing there isn't any time for me to source out any fabricator unlike Marcus. I did show some ideas to Marcus on producing the CSL spoiler for the new TLX but question is if there any interest on that. Only time will tell.

If you guys do end up deciding on going TLX...I'd be glad to put you in touch with Mike Chan who's been a real innovator in regard to pushing the aftermarket and showing the possibilities for the car.

I may or may not have told him to give you a shot since you actually care about the car/members product innovation.

Either way, looking forward to what you guys get goin

Rockstar, what's the issue with your fitment? I also have an original KB1Spec and the fit is excellent. Mine is CF but didn't realize the fiberglass one had issues.
