right it looks great, but there is more supporting orange.. the cage, the spoiler, decals, i think the gts would look better with black mirrors lol IMO.

I think bforbrian can do whatever to his TL and it'll look good. It's becoming one of the legends on this site. Like ACCURATEin and jptl04.

We are all entitled to our opinions.

@o4komodo...

me and atlp mike did the orange mirrors because it was a very porsche inspired look..

I honestly don't care/mind that most of you don't like the mirrors, that was very very predictable, knowing AZ

I'm just trying to shy away from everyone else.. be different you know? Everyone's got the same aspec kit, same cleared and blacked out headlights, same spoiler, same gunmetal/silver/black wheels.. just tryna set myself apart

The editing is making the mirrors look more different than the orange on the wheels Nice pics, nonetheless. I think the mirrors and wheels are more of a "I gotta see it in person" kinda thing.

TE's look great with your car. Not really a fan of the mirrors, even if they matched I probably still wouldn't like it. If you're going for a sportier look, maybe go with some craft squares.

Fuck why cant everyone have this same out look. Im tired of threads being started asking for a opinion. Then crying like a vagina when they dont hear what they want. Case in point...a thread on the first page of the photo thread.

Fuck man, paint your shit pink just because you dont care what anyone thinks. I <3 You.

Definitely a headturner, almost half the people I drive by, take a second look and on the first look I get almost everyone...

Today after getting out of my car to grab some lunch, I saw some black dude walk up the sidewalk past my car and said "oh shit das hott" and quickly snapped a pic with his cellphone.

On friday night, I was stopped by some random guy in NYC near 46th and 11th and he wouldn't stop talking about how great the car flows. Turns out this guy is from CA and is a big car enthusiast.

Anyway, point being, AZ is a different crowd because people have certain visions and "ways" they would like their TL to be and are very narrow-minded... so upon hearing that you guys weren't digging the mirrors, that's totally fine, don't really give lol.

No one said thinking out of the box was bad. Just because someone isn't feeling your mirrors, doesn't mean they are a princess.

And yes, I'll agree that AZ is a pretty conservative crowd for the most part.

Yeah I assumed the mirrors matched better in person. It definitely still looks good don't get me wrong, just little things like that that bother the hell out of me. Like the valve stems on my TEs not matching the stickers

Didn't mean members are princesses because they don't like my mirrors (I could honestly care less); i'm speaking generally, as what st04louis was hinting at.

I can vouch that the wheels are phenomenal and even more so when seen in person. Brian has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to being daring and inspiring. Only a few people belong in this category.

And I already knew there were going to be some hate regarding the orange theme brian.. but wait till the next meet and all the people are crowded around ur whip... hahahaha

I also feel like the coloration of the pictures is detracting from the car since some things are desaturated than others, not that the pictures are bad because they came out good, I just don't think its complimenting the orange on your car, knaw meen

I'm hitting my head against a pan every time I see that you fitted a Base lip on a Type S bumper !!! I shouldn't have dished out extra $$$ for the bumper and should have just test fitted the lip...i love how the sides look like > rather than a smiley face like mine lol...your car looks fabulous Brian....always loved your car, no lie! even back in 2007 days when you were on stocks and had only TL-s tails! LOL!! any ways...orange mirrors are like fake wheels....idk why you rockin em....just kidding man i love it

Compared to the 3M orange vinyl, this is very much less forgiving, it stretches only so much.

This summer I plan on removing my overlay and putting this instead on my roof. How tough is this stuff? The overlay is paper thin, but took me a while to install..

On my Di-Noc grille, I put some wax on it just to see what it does and nothing really. It just makes is kinda greasy and not much else. I too am continueing the CF on my car and am gonna do a CF roof.

Gus, the shear modulus for this vinyl isn't as great as other vinyls i've seen. Because it has the weave, when you stretch it to a certain point, the weave completely disappears and you're left with a matte black/gray film.

For the roof that shouldn't be a problem since it's mostly flat and stretching will be a minimum. But I tested this 3M di-noc CF stuff on the back cover of my cellphone and in order to contour around the edge I had to stretch it and on one side it came out flat black.

Just be careful.

why, hello there

I'm glad you got Orange man, it's def. different and clean as hell. I love how you got the TL-S headlights too.. THe little orange on the side gives it a nice clean look, that flows with the wheels...

I might have to sell my CDM heads for a pair of TL-S headlights... Too bad the TL-s headlights are too dam expensive.. But anyways, clean ride and def. different. Keep it up/

That's the right attitude to have, and it explaisn why people more often than not do love what you've done with your TL. Being un-afraid to go against the grain usually works out for you.

Yeah, I remember Mike's mirrors too.
I recall he got the same reactions.

It's a nice and unique look. You pulled it off pretty well. Can't see what is not to like about the orange-mirrors.
