damn I wonder if the weight of the snow could ever damage your roof...You sometimes hear about snow collapsing roofs of buildings because of the weight

yes. that snow started saturday night around 5pm but didn't start sticking till later that night and snowed heavy all night till about sunday around 2-3pm. fortunately the snow wasn't heavy it was nice powder... This morning it was 21F and it was ice, which made it very dificult to get out of the driveway. When i first saw the snow pilled that high on the car i got a little nervous. i thought the weight might have ruined the sunroof...

Well, for starters. i had to dig a path to even open up the door.. but as soon as i did that a bunch of snow fell in the car... then i started the car and put the rear/ front defrosters on full blast... once i was able to make a path around the car and clear most of snow away the car was heated enough.. i was wearing my puffy north face jacket and some good snow boarding gloves (the kind that go halfway up my forearm) and i used my arm to clear a majority of snow off the car.. i made sure that my arm didn't touch the paint as to avoid any possible scratching. then, after a while---snow just melted away... i don't use any brushes or scrapers on the car unless its for the windshield use only..... it took me a few hours to dig all that up... now im all sore today and my back is killing me.
