08 TL Type S = new for me. What a car!
Go from a no optioned 99 Dodge Neon to a 08 Acura TL Type S with all the bells and whistles. Its pretty damn funny.
Absolutely love the TL.Amazing car in performance and looks inside and out. Original owner car, 76k miles, got it last Saturday. Automatic
Unfortunate that the Kansas weather is very very cold as of late. I would love to fully detail it, but that will not happen for a while. I want to keep the car in tip top shape. Doing some research it looks like its a good idea to change out some sensors on the transmission and the fluid with a new tranny filter. So I plan on doing that sometime next year. Car shifts great though. It was never driven hard.

It is indeed! Especially when it is all cleaned up. Way too cold out for that though.
Thanks, that it is!
Thanks guys!
In Kansas City area. About 30 minutes from me.

Thanks everyone. Progressing pretty quickly with getting things done.
First modification was done. Window tint. 20% all around.
Lots of maintenance.
Changed the transmission fluid twice. Ordered all the necessary pressure switches, won't do that until the third change of the transmission fluid.
Had the timing belt/tensioner/idler/waterpump job done. New radiator hoses, thermostat, valve adjustment, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs
Going to get the brake fluid flushed soon.
Once the weather warms up I am going to touch up some places on the paint and full detail it. It has swirls galore and the paint really needs some love.

Not too much really. It is my daily. Still have not fully detailed the car yet. But will happen during my vacation in September. Just been super busy with a lot of OT at work.
Every once in a blue moon I will get the "tighten fuel" cap thing. But it goes away by itself.
I added a subtle painted to match roof spoiler.
I removed the rear seats to detail them, probably going to leave them out until winter along with the spare tire and hardware for a little bit of weight savings. Adds a lot of space in the back seat and trunk area for large items.
Ordered the Nokoya(sp) yellow fog light bulbs to spice up the front a bit during night driving. I rarely use my fogs, but I will start using them now.
Need to change out the transmission fluid one more time and install the new OEM transmission sensors too.
Oh I also got chose for RockAuto's collector series. They sent me about 50 magnets. RockAuto sends out random magnets to customers with their paid orders. Maybe one day you guys will get my TL. Haha

Will do!
I forgot to mention I added factory painted to match mudflaps that I bought off a member on this page. I just replaced the tires yesterday, went with a wider tire. 245/45/17. Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring. Have yet to detail the car like I said I would. But for sure will in October or so.
currently has 84888 on it now
Crazy how nice it looks even though it hasn't been fully detailed yet. Just been hand washed.

They say to change it out 3x. Because when you just drain it out, you are not getting ALL the fluid out. 3x insures that all of the old stuff is out. There is a lot of info about it on this forum. I only did a 2x, I need to do the last one here soon. Just because. I am not going to replace the sensors just yet even though I have them.

Yeah I'm aware of the 3x3 drain and fill. I guess where I got confused is: I thought you were doing 3x3 each time. But if I understand correctly, your doing a single drain and fill each time, which you do in intervals, instead of doing it all at once correct
?

Car is running great! Only issue is that stupid gas cap light that randomly pops on. Also valve cover gaskets are seaping. Having a friend replace those next week. Might have him do the IM gaskets too since he will be in there. Not sure how ell the OEM ones hold up. Did a mid muffler change to the dynomax one. Sounds very good, but nothing too lound or obnoxious. Guy at muffler shop said it was too quiet.Haha.
Ran over 100k miles a couple weeks ago.
Has a ton of random scratches over the doors due to being a daily driver and idiots that don't pay attention.
I washed it this past weekend and used Turtle Wax's Seal and Shine. Stuff is smazing, super easy to apply and works awesome. Great reviews of it via YouTube and very cheap. Guys should try it out!

The best case I've seen made to support this is when the track is anything other than totally smooth; the greater the irregularities of the surface, the higher the likelihood traction will be compromised.
Long story short, an inch or two will not help your performance.

There any number of studies which suggest lowering will not result in faster track times.

Wheel gap is like a vagina, if you can easily fit your whole hand in there, then it's pretty gross.

I suppose that is one way of looking at it, but from an engineering perspective, form follows function; anything which isn't optimal for function, by definition, looks bad.
