'06 WDP TL, A-Spec Body Kit, Type-S Spoiler - BSMs Removed pg 2, New Pics pg 3

I bought my car in Dec of '05 and I soon found this great forum. I quickly began to see all the mods that can be done to make this great car even greater, but I told myself to take it slow: Spread the mods out so that the car will get a refresh every once in a while.

After a year, it was finally time to pick up a body kit. I purchased the A-Spec body kit from our sponsor hondacuraworld in the last group buy.

Also at the time, they ran a group buy for the Type-S lip spoiler. My temptation got the better of me, and I picked that up as well.

I just installed the body kit a few weeks ago. I posted a thread about it here: DIY: A-Spec Bodykit Installation

Although there was rain in the forecast, my car was clean and I decided to take some pics.

I am still contemplating on removing the body side moldings. I think they will be removed within the next few weeks.

Next mods will be rims.. but thats in about another year..

how about type s tails?
my cars mods are almost done.. front a-spec kit only, type s tails, and type s deck lid.
rims are so damn expensive; i'm a college student ;[
and clearing headlights can only be done at home but i'm too scared lol
but nice car.. it's such an aesthetic pleasure to my eyes

I actually like the all red tails more than the type-s tails. That goes with tinting the tails as well. IMO, the red looks good against the white.

I hear you on rims. I'm waiting to wear out the factory tires before getting new rims and tires.

Generally speaking, I'm not a huge fan of the body kit, but I must admit your car turned out nice. Time to update the avatar?

If you're so mad about it, I'll be glad to take it off your hands. Don't get me started on tints.

Since there have been many questions on the headlights, here's the 411:

I bought my headlights from a past vendor on here: JnC. He no longer provides his services because he has started his own business. I am just waiting for him to become free again to fix a few things about the headlights.

As for the turn signals. They are chrome bulbs that flash amber. I bought them at http://www.silverbulbs.com, but you can also find them on eBay. Click here for pictures of the bulbs in action.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions. Thanks again for the compliments.

You're actually the first to say that, but I'm still contemplating. I would hate to get a ding after I remove them. I'm also not sure what to do with the moldings after I remove them. Throwing them away seems a bit wasteful.

Clear Corners

WoW nice car man... I just gotta ask you as I ask everyone else, where can I get those clear corners from for the front headlights?? The orange on the car just kills it for me. Thanks in advance!

Chris,

Lookin really good. I'm still on the fence on the tails. I think the red looks good with the WDP. But I'll wait to see what Lee's ride looks like with the new tails.

I would ask you what's the next mod but I figure it will take you another year to think about it.

BLUZBRA, please read post #21. There are a few DIY guides available in the 3G TL Garage.

Mike, there are pictures of a WDP with TL-S tails on here somewhere. I already know what rims I want.

Not sure if I will go with them or not, but they are Racing Hart R5 Pro most likely in 19's. Here is a thread of someone that beat me to it: 05 WDP sittin on 19" Racing Harts

Actually, I kind of agree with that. Not a fan of the body side moldings. I don't hate them, but I don't love them either.

I will say this, though: you have basically the nicest WDP I've seen that still has the standard 17" rims on it. I hope to join you someday in that group (nice WDP with the basic rims). I'm getting there but it'll be a while.

Thanks man.

The BSM will go sometime next month when I get around to a full detail. I will update this thread with pictures when they have been removed.

It took me more than a year to mod my car to what it is today. There was no rush for me. It will be a while before new rims.. and now I'm thinking about a drop too. This is what happens when you hang around here and see other people's cars.

The group buy price was about $90.

If they are back in stock, you can try to start another group buy here: Let's do a group buy on something.......

I completely understand that. I love the way you "kept it real" by keeping the 17s on there. It still looks really good! I'm as much of a fan of nice and big wheels as the next guy, but there's nothing wrong with those bad boys at all.

It's the spoiler.

Well, I've finally got around to removing the BSM (body side moldings) this weekend. I followed it up with a day of claying and detailing.

Unfortunately, the weather today wasn't great for pictures, but I took some anyways.

I suppose a DIY on removing the BSMs will follow.
