well, i had a friend mount my tires today at his job however he only did two wheels, he had alot of work to do so i got the short end of the stick. I guess i cant complain for free work lol

anyway the tires i got were Hankook evo v12
specs- fr.-225/35/19 on an 8.5in. rim
rr- 245/35/19 on a 10in. rim

the stretch on the rear wheel is a bit scary but i did not want to rub once shes dropped.

i only have one side mounted as of now, the other two wheels shall be done wed. and i will have much better pictures.

As for the coilovers, they are going to have to wait till june due to finances...but hopefully sooner

so after taking some time off from modding i decided it was about time i got some stuff for my tl, nothing crazy though

1. chrome license plate frame lol

2. entire led interior from Vled's

3. smoked side markers with white led's

4. slotted and drilled rotors with pads combo from brake motive

5. FAKE Brembo "frembo" caliper covers. I know im going to get flamed for this but with aftermarket wheels and rotors my oem calipers were looking a tad bit naked and weak so i opted for some covers insted of spending 3g's i dont have on a BBK so take it easy on me fellas and ladies!!!

anyway heres some pictures...oh and they are cell phone pics so they are crappy.

i painted the stock calipers to match so it would be a little more difficult to spot the fakes.

thanks!!! brakemotives are like night and day from oem (non-brembo) they do very well with consistant hard breaking however the brake dust is crazy out of control, a 10 min drive will put a nice coat of dust on my shiney wheels

Dude, VERY well done! I haven't seen the puddle lights in a long time. Very styling!

By the way, I updated the title of your thread to show new updates for you.

That's good.

It's all about the value for the dollar I suppose =)

I would probably put on different brake pads, then.

I just love the cross-drilled/slotted look.

Any more pictures of them please? preferably from a good distance away =)

I got them from eBay they come in all types of different colors as well as brands. Just make sure you have clearance between your caliper and rim. I got the set of 4 for $40 shipped. Also they are not clip on. They are adhered by high temp silicone...a bit suspect but I put alot so these baby's won't ever be falling off.

Thanks man! Yeah the brakes are legit, and 140 buks is a hell of a deal. I didn't buy the puddle lights I actually made them from single 10mm LEDs, resistors, and some drilled out aluminum rod as a case. About 5hrs of work but only $35 in material! I have a shit ton of pictures from the fabrication and install I'm gunna put up in this thread prob by next week.

Very nice looking TL. I see you have 5% tint. I am getting that very soon was just wondering do you have any problems changing lanes on a dark highway? And how do you avoid tickets here in NY :P?

As requested, puddle light install

20x 10mm 55degree 1w led's
2ft alum rod
fiberglass resin
some 14gauge wire
40x e-clips

used two e-clips per light, one of each side of the side skirt to pinch the led houseing in place.

used a drill press to hollow out the rod to 10mm for a perfect fit.

also i first used hot glue to seal up the leds in the alum. housing but apparently hot glue shrinks when it dries so it wasnt a good seal. I had to take every one apart and re-seal with fiberglass resin that made it 100% better

Have one question though, how well did the rear TL-S lip fit on your car? Curious to know because I like the TL-S lip so much better than the regular 05

^ it was a challenge to say the least, you seriously have to cut your stock bumper to shreds. Not to mention a type s bumper has marks on where to drill holes but our base bumper has nothing so you kinda have to guestimate. If your good at makin stuff fit it should work out fine.

Sooo today this guy rolls up infront of my house...

And my gifts include megans!!! Finally

Butttttttt my cars at the stealership getting both front Axels replaced due to clicking noise. So I figured I should have that done before my warranty is voided due to the coils. So in the mean time I'm beating on a 2010 tsx curtousy car that I don't really like. It seems very cheesy on the inside, almost poor quality ish. Everything is thin plastic and the center consol\ dash is hidious.

So I should be slammed by the weekend depending how fast they get to my car!!!

Btw anyone who has megans, what damping setting are you at and how does it ride?

James, Nick said he's gonna charge you extra if you try to help him install the meghan's. Also, the meownual suggests 17-32 for "street use".

Can't wait to see the result. And I agree with you on the TSX. I like the styling of it, but the interior is cheaper feeling than our TLs.
