05 A-Spec WDP 6MT w/NAVI

Hey all,

I just signed up the other day, but my wife and I picked up our TL around the beginning of April. I installed the A-Spec package (minus steering wheel because I didn't want to mess with the electronics) and an AEM CAI is on the way. The TL is my wife's daily driver. The other car in these pics is a 2001 Nissan Sentra SE... my daily driver. It has a lot of mods, including Tein SS, rear sway, lower tie bar, mmi, UR pullies, lightweight flywheel, heavy duty clutch and pp, SAFC II, motor mount inserts, and brake upgrades. It's also about to have ~280whp in a few weeks when I install a GT2871R turbo with all the goodies. Anyway, on to the pics...

Actually, my car is much more fun to drive hard. In a straight line, it's slower (until the turbo goes in), but the TL can't touch the SE in corners. We actually autox the SE... might take the TL out eventually, but its just not at "tossable" in the corners. I do enjoy the smoothness of the TL a lot. Somehow speeds greater than the speed limit just don't seem that fast

I am curious... How many white TL's have a quartz interior? We had to special order ours to get the quartz and 6 speed in the WDP.

Any pics? I haven't seen this combo. My '91 Pathfinder SE had this look. Looked great.

My '00 Max. was White on Black. Killer.

and she started driving in solo events this year. Since I am a noob on this board, you guys are familiar with SCCA Solo (aka auto cross), right?

You can put on a suspension but not a steering wheel I must say the TL looks waaay better, but I am bias. WDP is a great color, and I would probably get it, but I like Ebony leather more. In order to make it complete you must clear the headlights. Nice pics, love the location and angle.

Nice pix, thanks for sharing. I wish I had a wife that could drive stick. She's perfect in every other way, though!

I special ordered mine back in March of 2004 and got it 2 months later. My WDP/Quartz was the only one of its kind on the lot and still is. It's a rare combo that hides dirt really well and comes with the faux CF pieces vs. the plood.

I love your pix. Now I can see how mine would look like with the A-spec rims. Yours are sweet. And yes, I know what you mean when you say that the TL is not as tossable even with the suspension upgrade. Our car is a 3,500 lb luxery sedan and there is no overcoming the laws of physics. But I would buy my TL all over again if I had to do it.

Saw them. Great wheels. Do you have any that also show the interior? I want a better view of White on Grey.

Thanks,

[QUOTE=crazymjb]You can put on a suspension but not a steering wheel QUOTE]

Yeah, I could do the steering wheel myself... but it depends on what dealer would want to do it. After all, there is an airbag and all the steering wheel controls in there.

Then again, I've already tied in to the ECU harness on my sentra and have no problems doing electrical work. We're also deciding whether we like the A-Spec wheel better or not. I'm sure I'll get bored some weekend and do it

Thanks! We would also buy the TL again. Both cars have a totally different purpose and history. I bought the SE while I was in college and started modifying it after graduating (actually most of it started last summer/fall). It has become the street/autocross machine that is a blast to drive but isn't high on the creature comforts if you know what I mean. The TL was the first car we bought after getting married and both of us were out of college. We were looking for a comfortable, larger car that we could use for road trips and every day comfort while still retaining some sportyness (it's in my blood ). I love going 70-80 mph on the turnpike and being able to hear myself think!
