Been awhile since I poked my head in here. Car is still a jaw-dropper. Definitely the most influential and inspirational TL for me. From the gorgeous seats and immaculate interior to the beautiful shine under the hood, your car has it all. There are very few TL's left in the shape that yours is. I do agree with you; for some people this is their "classic" car. The one that outlasts all others and continues to turn heads despite its age. Sentimentality is the only measure of value for enthusiasts such as yourself. Only other thing I can say is keep it up!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I did and I had to jump it again last night... When winter is over, i'll take it out for a very long drive to charge up the battery and burn some of the old fuel.
If it was my daily, I would invest in a quality set.I did at one point wrap them in protective plastic (what detailers use) but it sucked ass when they got wet.. The Mercedes has OEM all weather mats. They need a decent cleaning from all the snow / salt crap.

Shut up Gus, and sell that shitty fucking TL already. What a hunk of junk. Seriously, how do you even get behind the wheel of such trash? Have you no shame?
I'll be a good buddy and offer you $2500 to take it off your hands and save you the embarrassment. Consider it a huge favour, me giving you that money.

The TL is only worth $39.95 because it doesn't have a type-s badge on the trunk

Not a major update, but a small maintenance item that is almost always over looked. The TL is closing 14 years old and the rubber brake hoses are still the OEM ones. I ordered new OEM hoses. In the spring time i'll have them replaced. I waited over a week to get these hoses because Acura doesn't have these in stock anywhere..

They tend to fail or swell up over time. I know the last time I swapped my wheels, the rear ones had some cracks in them. It's only a matter of time before they fail. I just replaced all four on the Mercedes. Nice improvement overall. I should have taken a picture of the one hose. It had some decent cracks.

yea i see what you mean, they have come a long way. the key for a good steel line is to have it protected either plastic coated or similar on outside or inside. the old school steel ones without extra layers would fray and have issues.

Welcome back to Azine!!! Damn dude, it's been a very long time! Regardless, we follow each other through fb and instagram lol! Yes, I can't believe it's been almost 13 years since i've owned the TL. It's been 13 years filled with lots of good memories including the friendship I've made along the way!

I took a few hours today to give the TL some attention. It's been one hell of a winter, even with my TL covered, the salt still got on my car. I started the process with meguairs white wax to clean up the paint. I applied a coat of chemical guys butter wet wax and finished with chemical guys sealer. I tried to clean up the calipers as best as possible, but I'll have some time to clean it up when I swap the wheels. I got under the car to polish the Comptech exhaust, which needed a good cleaning. Inside the car, leather cleaning and conditioning, conditioning the dash board and the typical little details like the handles, trims, windows ect. Under the hood, I took some time to try and polish the intake manifold and other misc items. The salt did a number under there. Took me about an hour to finish under the hood, ill do a 2nd hand polish next time I'm under the hood. Hopefully winter is done and that's the end of the road salt bs.. I snapped a few photos today as I was finishing.

that's impressive. love your engine bay.
i did something similar, i washed, clay barred, applied wolfgang sealant, and topped it off with collinite 845 wax. then i did a full vacuum and then cleaned my leather with lexol and conditioned it with griot's leather conditioner. i'm due for a leatherique deep clean and condition but this will do for a few months.
good job man!

Good job man!! I'm sure your TL looks stunning now. I use to have a lot of energy to do all that. I can't anymore. The TL take a lot of my time to fully detail. At one point when I was using it as a daily, I was cleaning it almost every other day and if the weather permitted, detailed every weekend. This past weekend, was the 1st weekend in over two months that I detailed the other two vehicles. This winter has been brutal. The amount of road salt has been insane. I would get the vehicles washed once a week, and by the time I got home from the car wash, they were dusty with salt. Tomorrow they are saying snow with a rain mix. It's fucking April already.... Don't get me started on what comes next.. All that pollen, which has been delayed due to the weather and it's going to be brutal when it does start.

I swear... I was certain I updated this thread.. Guess not.
The WORKS got new center caps. I didn't realize how crappy they ended up after 9(?) years.. Wow.. Yeah, about 9 years of owning these wheels. I got a new cover, but fucking crap keeps coming off with a slight breeze. I'll work installing some plastic hooks to hold the cover down. Anyway, still trying to get my friend to make a professional video on my car. Also, going to reach out to Jalponik to see if they are willing to do an article on the TL. Fingers crossed. I'm coming due soon for State inspection (Aug). I can go now as it falls in the two months prior to inspection, I just hate dealing with motor vehicles inspection. Maybe this weekend Ill take it in for inspection, who knows.. Here are my "Most" recent shots taken.

Thanks man! The pedals are "Supercomputer Acura TL Sport Pedals". I doubt you will find a set. They are long discounted, but you never know. Do a google search, you may find a set for sell.
