Looks great! Is that applied by hand or does it have to be with a machine?

I've used Meguiar's White Wax, which honestly, does an amazing job cleaning up the paint. If you use it with a DA buffer you can use it as a very minor paint correction. It's a bit abrasive. I do have but haven't used yet, the chemical guys glaze white wax. It's suppose to be superior to the Meguiars version.

I do agree as well. Great product and cuts down on the amount of pollen attracted. It did wonders on my wifes car which is red metallic paint. It really made the color pop.

Car looks great mate
Thank you!

Thank you! I did this one by hand. I try not to use the DA buffer as much anymore. The paint is 12 years old, so I try not to cut anymore into the clear. Very light swirls I can take care of by hand.

Thank you J! I was tempted on getting out all swirls, but I didn't want to do another correction. It would be the 3rd one on the car. Not sure what the thickness of the OEM clear is.

Gus, I am not sure if just time affected the NBP...
but I did a lot of correcting and learning on it and in the end, it was getting there. Enough that I will never again do any correcting. I'll only do a polymer sealant on it to keep what's there happy for as long as possible.

I use the other chemical guys stuff, intended for anything black plastic but they list it as good for tires, and it's awesome.

The details with the engine bay covers are the things that make a person's car truly one of a kind.

Nice work with everything, the shop you deal with does some pretty impressive work with the engine bay.

I used the same product on my wife's optima. IMO, I think it's great for red but not on white. I ordered their white wax. I will let you guys know how it works out.

I ran through what they have, i'm sure for your blue type-s these two would do wonders

Chemical Guys - Extreme Depth Liquid Carnauba Creme Wax + X-Seal (16 oz)EXTREME DEPTH LIQUID CARNAUBA CREME WAX + X-Seal (16 oz)

Chemical Guys - Wet Mirror Finish Ultra Slick Gloss Magnifier (16 oz)

Thank you broski! I've put a lot of hard work into the TL through the 9 years of ownership. I work closely with the shops I use for certain work to be done. At the end of the day, their work shows quality and in return gets them new clients. Your TL-S is flawless man, beautiful!! Keep up all the great work!

Good morning buddy! I do plan on putting them on, but been busy to drag them out of the house and install them. I might end up doing it today if the weather holds up.

I'll look into that mirror finish one...I stay away from Carnubas...they tend to streak in the sun a few days after on dark colors (in my experience).

I noticed the same when the wife had her black mustang. It's not as bad on the Red color. Since I detail the cars once a week, it doesn't "Streak" into the paint. I ordered it. Let me know if you want a sample, i'll ship it to you

Pretty eventful day yesterday. 2K2SilverTL-s invited me to attend my 1st ever "Coffee & Cars" Meet. It's been at least 7 years since we met up at a meet. I had time to swap the wheels on the car and had the shop re-adjust the suspension height. I have to raise the left rear just a bit again. I snapped some photos at the meet yesterday. Waiting for the new waxes to arrive today. If I have some time, i'll try them.

Thank you everyone! 12 years later, the TL still looks flawless.

Got these in last week. Haven't tried to white wax yet.

Following the chemical guys detailing chart, the glaze is 1st and the white wax next followed by sealer. I could be wrong, maybe white wax, then the glaze finished by sealer?

This weekend was a waste. The vehicle we saw was shot and needed a ton of work. It had one nasty vibration. 3 out of the 4 tires were smoked and the rotors had some serious waves in them. It was down right filthy, had fucking mold growing on the chrome strips and emblems. I wasn't happy to say the least. I'll look again come the end of the year.

Hey, at least you didn't spend a ton of money on a car!
Yeah, that sounds about right...I started simplifying the process for myself because I refuse to remove ANY of the soft/thin Honda clear. I just do a polymer sealant and call it a day.

I just picked up and tried that CG Mirror Finish stuff because of how it made a dark blue car paint pop in some pics I saw recently (Jeff's car, I think).

It looks okay on my silver car. Not sure it really looks as extreme on a light car. I do love the water beading it does, and it smells delicious.

I haven't used the white wax yet, mainly due to time. I have used the CG Mirror Finish and it's great, but needs to be sealed. Works very well on red and silver (so far the only colors I used it on).

Thanks for the input buddy! I used it a 2x on two vehicles. It's not terrible at all. Makes the paint really pop. I realized, you got to work quick with this stuff. The longer it's left on the harder it becomes to take off. You realize the next day a few spots that were missed.

It's been a while. Been very busy with work and after work activities. I apologize for not being as active as I use to be. Wifey and I are going to Greece next week, so it's been pretty busy getting everything ready, working and working out. I had some time today to try out Chemical Guys white wax. I will say, this is by far the hardest stuff to remove. You got to work quick with it. IMO, megquiars white wax works better and cleans the paint better. This has a better shine, but doesn't seem to make the paint feel as smooth as the other products I used. The next time around, I'll use the glaze with the wax sealer to see how it works. IMO, I think the shine and overall quality would be better. What do you guys think?
