Dude... You sure you trust this shop that's working on your car? Seems like you're needing to do a lot of coaching these supposedly "professionals".
Those panels look slick! Can you get a shot of where the graphic transitions from a horizontal to a vertical surface? I'm curious how the image handles the change in profile... Is it stretched and/or distorted there?

It's been a long 24+ hours.
I want to say a special thank you to Paul in Clifton for taking time to trouble shoot the TL with me. We both learned something new when trying to figure out the issue. I like Paul, have 10 years experience as a certified technician. We both worked for Acura. We both were taken back, but figured it out.
I got my TL back from the shop. Drove it 10 feet into the street, the CEL comes back on. Reverse it back into the parking lot to have the guy come out and see what's wrong. They scan the car and say "It's the same code, air intake leak.." Needless to say, at this point I said enough is enough, time to start diagnosing myself. Take it home and immediately start trouble shooting. The idle is erratic, as if there's a load on the engine and it's picking up the RPM's. Scratching my head saying WTF is going on with this. I had a feeling to take off the oil cap to see if the engine stumbles or changes pitch. Go to pull off the cap and it's SUCKED out of my hand. At this point, i'm standing there with a look of
Ok, so this isn't right.. Pull out the dip stick and it's sucking a lot of air in. Back in the field, I learned this was a sign of a bad PCV valve. I figured they may have damaged the new pcv valve. I pull out the new one, swap it for the old one. Started the car and, same shit. Now, i'm really puzzled. I called Paul, told him what's going on and he's completely baffled. I asked Paul, If I can come on by, to look at it with me. Get to Paul's house and he takes off the oil cap and looks at me with the same look . He says Wtf...
I asked Paul, how does the PCV system work in the TL. After going through each routing, I suggested to remove the rubber hose off the top of the valve cover going to the manifold to see if it fixes the issue. Sure enough, it stopped having excessive suction. Scratching my head, I said to Paul, it has to be the front valve cover. I had the old ones in the trunk. We took apart the under side of the old one and Paul pointed out, if the gasket is missing from the PCV channel, it would probably cause this issue with the suction, which in return cause the light to trigger for an air intake leak.
After shooting the shit for a few hours, I left around 11Pm. Work up early this morning and started to tear down the TL. I called the shop and asked to have the advisor come to my house and watch me pull off the blower and valve cover. He rushes over to the house and I gave him the run down of what Paul and I think the cause is. Needless to say, I pulled the front valve cover, started taking apart the underside plate and.. Bingo. Gasket missing. Give him both valve covers and tell them to install new gaskets, seal them and thread locker on the bolts.
While the supercharger was off, I installed the blades. I noticed at around 3K I had a humming noise again. Last time this happened, it was due to a broken pin inside the blower which was caused by UPS. I was nervous, they dropped the blower and damaged something. I spun the blower by hand and didn't feel anything unusual. I inspected the pulley distance to the shaft and didn't notice any difference in distance. I reinstalled the supercharger and set it straight. The blower was louder last night, due to the issue with vacuum. Now that the issue is fixed, the blower is quiet again.
Over all, lesson learned. Do things yourself, or have someone like Paul to help out. I got Andy's ported lower intake runners. I'm waiting on gasket and O-ring set to come in before doing this. Time is the issue for me. I no longer have the time to do things. Today was my day off and I spent every single bit of it working on the TL. I had my wife help me clean up the inside and put things back together. My car was an absolute mess. I drove the car to Pauls house again tonight. I wanted to thank him again and have him look at the car also. This wasn't the hardest diagnosing job, but one that is never taught.
So for anyone that plans on getting anything with valve covers done, make sure the front valve cover, the pcv channel gasket isn't fucked with.. Period.
Tear down started
Everything is off and being inspected
Snapped valve cover bolt discovered. Now fixed.
Hard to see, but no gasket for the PCV channel.
Inspecting the blower
Reinstalling and cleaning

Well, it's funny that it ended up something so simple. It blows my mind when people that are not methodical, or don't know enough, work on stuff. I 2nd that whole work on my own car thing, I'm one of the few people I trust!
Glad it worked out, Gus. Awesome.

I know it's not a monster power creator but the blower looks so good in our bays.

Troubleshooting stuff that isn't common is probably the worst and most stressful thing cause not even forums can help...
Sometimes I wish I were able to work on my own car...
Damn glad to see the car is all back together!

Happy Easter everyone!
Putting in work today. I installed the ported lower intake runners today. Nervous as fuck, when removing 12 year old injectors from the runners. Everything went back in smoothly. New gaskets and injector O-rings for peace of mind. Mike at endless hydro dipping said the panels are specially coated with a candy smoke clear. They are stunning in the sun light! So, here's the moment most have been waiting for!!
In the sunlight
Out of the sunlight
Fun stuff.. Getting ready to install the ported runners. Shown here with the oem gaskets and o-rings.
Runners out and looking at the valves.
Zero carbon on those valve. For almost 100K and zero carbon, that's pretty
impressive.
Runners installed, p/s pump back on and getting ready to finish.

Glad problem is solved. Looking at those pics with stuff taken apart reminds me how fun & scary those mods were. Its so fun to have the mental and physical challenge to figure out and fix a problem like that but it was also so scary to imagine the worst case scenario and how expensive it would be if the problem ends up being that serious. Glad to hear it was simple.
PS - i painted my wiper cap red just to make it be a blaring reminder that something is very different and to not put any wiper fluid in the re-purposed Meth tank.

You nailed it.
It's not all that terrible to do things to the TL, just time consuming. Sucks when it's an older vehicle and that "Extra" care on sensitive things, makes you want to toss in the towel. I was certain, at least one injector would have taken a shit. Shocked when they came out with a little effort. I don't see another reason to ever remove all this crap again.

Nothing crazy, but decided to put some TLC into the TL today.
Started with a light compound by 3M and used a light coating of white wax to clean up some misc things, finished by Chemical guys extreme top coat plus 3x carnauba.
I would have preferred to do a one step correction with colinite 845 wax sealer, but this came out pretty great!
