throughout the week i installed the rear a spec lip kit, the type s taillights, and my megan coil overs car drives much better, looks better and handles great. i am glad i went with dampening adjustment coil overs. we will see how these hold up.

here are a couple of pictures to keep you fellows and gals entertained until i get the new wheels on

ENJOY!!!

putting rear lip against it before i start cutting literally half my bumper off to make sure i received the correct piece.

dropped on megan coilovers

type s tails, a spec rear lip

another front end shot (most definitely needs to have headlights redone)

looking good!

I did not unfortunately.... Had a closing on one of the projects and had to finish up today. Hope to do it tomorrow. Received the front a arms and got the fender roller so I'm ready to go.

Question for you guys running the xxr530 do you cut the fender liner, leave it all intact, or? Heard some cut it... This true?

test fitted the wheels, oh i mean placed them beside the car should look good. was lazy and didn't feel like fitting them on without proper lug nuts.
acura center cap changes the whole look of the wheels imho.

i do have to admit i hated how car looked when i first got it as i came from this…. aspen white 2005 STi. took me a year to build the car but every aspect of it was covered. from brakes, to the very last internal part in the engine.

but after all these pictures I've seen with aspec kits and all i can't wait any more as i am truly in love with the tl now. just not the FWD!!! flipping sucks in snow, as i came to find out yesterday.

dropping off parts tomorrow and maybe will have them painted saturday even. Well see. not in a rush as I'm going to lower it before i install bumper and lips.

as for headlights… blacked out, turn signal amber delete (will do carbon fiber inlays if my diffuser allows not sure how the 2004 tl one is) zkw-r lens, upgraded bulb and for now i think thats it
Your TL is coming along very nice but this STI is
I never owned a STI but drove my brothers 04 and and my buddies 12 STI and a few others and I don't think I would give up a STI for a TL. What made you switch?

One main factor was I wanted the money to use for something I'm looking to invest in. If you saw the build list of that car you would understand how much money and time I put into it.
The other reasons were I grew up on turbo charged Subarus since I was in high school, had a few sti's, couple spec b lgt's and more and Wanted to try something else out. I always had a thing for the Tl and got sick of doing work to the Sti. Was a very very high maintenance car. Even though I have a mechanical background it gets old when you leave that line of work.

past few days I've been working on the car, don't have much time but today i finally wrapped it up.

changed the front a arms to skunk2 ones. btw for those changing these out you do not need to take your strut or anything off to change them. as long as you have coil overs and are able to twist the spring to get the bolt out its a breeze. i had both fronts done it 30min tops.

rolled all 4 fenders

changed the factory rear camber and toe with ingalls fully adjustable ones. the install was a breeze if it wasn't for the camber bolt. this took me about two hours… best way to do it if your bolt is frozen, get a jig saw and have at it. i tried a few methods before i tried this and it shaved the time majorly.

last but not least the new shoes are on
but i am not happy with the ride height so i will keep playing with it.

let me know what y'all think.

to be able to bring the front down some more to make it even with rear, what do you guys do to make it possible?

also the lip right where the front fender and bumper bolt together, how do you get it so the tire doesn't rub against it.

i have searched and came up empty handed. either i overlooked it or I'm just tired…. lol

pictures would be great. don't really want to cut fender lip but will if need be to be able to let me go lower.

I think ride height looks perfect.

Car looks beautiful!
I think you just need the aspec side skirts and decklid spoiler to finish it off.

thanks everyone!

adjusted the height today and made some ramps so i can drive up on the alignment rack without having to always take my front fascia off (I'm sure all of you know the pain haha)

dropped the front a bit. should be good to go for tomorrow.

weather has been very gloomy past week so hopefully next week i can get some decent pics.

in the mean time I'm looking for a roof spoiler someone sell me theres lol

Alright, so I got alignment today and came to - 3 in the back. The front is right around that too as I didn't want to bring it out too far so I don't rub.

How many miles do Yall estimate I would be get out of a decent set of tires with -3 degrees of camber and a good alignment.

I want to get at least 10k out of a set. As I do alot of highway driveway back to my hometown and such.

Do you still have the original SSM front bumper cover lying around? Mines pretty banged up and I'm looking for one to replace it without having to paint.

i do but mine is banged up too, if you put the license plate cover on it covers the damage well most of it. best bet just order one from dealer.

i paid 260$ for my type s bumper cover. should be same price for base
