04 NBP w/OEM CHROME wheels! Lots of pics!

Hey guys,
I'm pretty stoked! I bought the stock rims chromed off of ebay for a $500 exchange! The wheels look awesome on the car!! Tell me what you think. I took a bunch of pics. Personally, I just love the look of a clean black car and chrome wheels! I think I'm in love with this new TL!

tlzx9, looks great.

Now tell me how did the transaction go on the eBay? As per his ad he says he'll send first then you send your stock. Have you compared the weight of stock and his chromed?

Thanks! I'm stoked! I actually just called the phone number in California and ordered them right on the phone. They honored the same deal via phone as on Ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
Here's how it went:
1) Phone call to order.
2) Give credit card info
3) They charge $1052.00 on my credit card.
a) $500 is for your chrome wheels
b) $476 deposit
c) $76 shipping charge both ways for me (I Live in Florida)
4) If you order before 2 p.m. PST they will ship the rims to you the same day.
5) They give you tracking numbers
6) About 3-5 days later, you get your rims via UPS
7) Get chrome rims mounted and balanced on your car (about $12/tire)
8) Put old rims in same boxes as new rims came in and slap on the return shipping labels they include in the box!!
9) Ship old rims to them
10) They receive old rims, and give you back the deposit.

I was VERY happy with the process, and as you can see the rims look great. The only thing that I am a bit concerned about is that it is a "fade chrome" job. They did not chrome dip the entire rim (as many companies don't) The rim fades in the middle from aluminum back to chrome, so in about 2-3 years, they may start peeling, but only time will tell! In the mean time, I'm loving them, and the rims came FLAWLESS, and truly are brand new rims that they buy from Acura. I used to be a professional detailer for over 10 years and these are beautiful chrome wheels. I'd definately recommend this company! Let me know if you have any more questions!
Scott =)

1 year warrantee on the chrome. Same deal as when you buy them, they will take a deposit, send you the chrome wheels, and you send them back the defective ones in the box.

Looks alot better than I would have expected. Probably helps that your car is gleeming like a mofo! I figured the chrome would make the wheels look smaller but it doesn't at all.

Very nice

I don't really think chrome fits this car. That being said, it fits the NBP better than any of the other colors. And *THAT* being said, the wheels seem to look smaller when they're chrome .

That is the beauty of this forum! You can see what YOUR personal tastes prefer, and what you don't prefer! Some guys don't like chrome wheels on certain cars, I happen to love them! To each his own!

I don't like the chrome wheels on the car, makes it look less expensive and thuggish, this is a luxury car not a wanna be rap star look alike contest. Makes the car look cheap.

Chrome would not be my first choice, but I do disagree with you here. The dull silver looks cheap to me. I think the chrome is a step up. Machined (like a Honda Accord or previous generation TL) looks best.

Hey bro, I have read some of your topics on other forums about rims you DID like, and I cannot say you and I have the same taste. I am a young business professional not some "thug" or wanna be "rap star." It's okay to not like something, but don't start talking sh*$ on a forum about someone's pride and joy. When you finally get your TL, if I don't like your rims, I just won't say anything at all, but I wouldn't DARE call you a "wanna be rap star look alike" or anything degrading to you.

Practice a little kindess my friend!

Chrome looks good on any dark color car. As far as luxury go, I've seen chrome on BMWs, Lexuses, even Ferraries. Day before yesterday saw a program on discovery called "Rides" where all celebrities were shown shopping for chrome wheels for their Lambos and Ferraries and even H2s. However, each their own.

tlzx9 your car looks damn good with those chrome wheels.

I don't think he was talking sh@#, he was just giving his opinion. After all, that's what you asked for. You can't expect everyone to like your car as much as you do. If you ask for opinions, you will get them, don't expect them all to jive with yours.

I don't mind people's opinions, and that's why I said it's all good if people have different tastes, but to make the comments he did just seem inappropriate in a forum of professionals.
