[TL] Timeline (Fall 2006-Fall 2007) Lots of pictures

Man...its been a long year! I was just going through my photobucket album and seeing my car back when it was 100% stock kinda tripped me out! So I figured i'd up my post count and make a progress thread.

Sept.2006....100% STOCK!!

End of Sept. Bought some toys...

(K-Sport Kontrol Pro coilovers, Comptech RSB, AEM intake)

October 2006...installing AEM polished intake and RSB!

All done! and my brothers 6MT Z for kicks.

December 2006: A-SPEC front lip!

Decided to hold off on the side/rear hoping something else would be released but looks like i'll get them now that those CF trim pieces are official!

Jan. 2007: 19" Rays G-games 99B (didn't fit!!)

+25 offset....ouch! Stuck out a good inch and a half!!

Mid Jan: Sent them back, ordered a set of 19" Rays Type 203

They fit!

Feb: Ordered some Falken FK452's and installed those badboys!

April 2007: Front plate: REMOVED!

August 2007: Tein SS ordered/installed!

Mid Aug: Front grille color matched NBP!

October 2007: Painted calipers flat black, tinted tails

And...here we are. November 2007!!

My brother put some 19x9, 19x10.5 Luff M1 wheels on his Z as well (his car is in one of the pictures...he made SOME progress

Whats next for the TL? I'm going to finish off the A-SPEC kit, grab the CSL CF style spoiler and diffusers, Stoptech BBK, and Comptech exhaust by the end of the year if I can make this deal go through. If not....it'll be a long time before I can have side money like that to spend =/

Your TL is all about the stance...the way she sits on the ground. Somethin about those lips...like a big fat camel toe...so nice you know what i mean?

Nice thread!...i was thinkin about doing a progression thread as well.

dude your pregression thread would be not only a 56k megadef killer but will be like a good 40 pics... do it though for realz...

ps. love the nbp always... but just a question, why did you go from 1 set of coilovers to another? aren't they pretty much the same or did you have some other reason?

Its kind of wierd too because the shape of the car perfectly flows with my hand...

As for the K-Sports, I never installed them. I actually sold them to Jason w/ the white TL

I like the stance of the WDP, but your NBP is blocking the view. It's like a solar eclipse.

Which coilover costs more, K-Sport or Tein SS?

Honestly man, your car looks a lot better with just the a-spec front lip+sideskirts.. As for the rear lip.. I dunnno. I noticed that the a-spec rear makes the car look sportier. YOur car looks luxurious w/o the rear lip.. If I was to do it all over again, i'd get the 07-08 tl-s rear. LOVE your car man. The way it sits is so perfect, i don't even know how to explain it. lol.. ANd the way that WDP TL looks like it was dropped perfectly as well. a BBK would set it off real nice.. What color BBK you considering?

Nah...red is too tuner looking...baby blue...again, looks tuner or ultra-rice...silver reminds me of the big ass brakes on the Mercedes AMG models

true..probably not baby blue..

BUT..i like how everything on my car is either silver or black and the brakes are red..just adds a little contrast i guess

oh and..amg's..was there with my dad tuesday bc my dads thinking about an S class(hopefully) and so I took a look at the new CL AMG brakes and I think they were black though

I'd either do black or silver, but i'll most likely get silver just because it looks so NICE! I'll probably have to run spacers up front though.

tl_dinhsum84, they no longer make these wheels...sorry but they went for about 630 a piece

Nice flat black calipers.. I do that to all my cars. If you want Paint the hub of your Rotors, gives the wheel area a nice clean look, and will def. make your rims stand out more.

You know, I was actually thinking about doing that but i'd imagine it being difficult unless you have the entire rotor off the car? Its all good though, hopefully i'll snag me some of those slotted rotoras w/ the black hub hah
