tell me about it...
the hard part is determining what is a must have fixed/modified...and where to cut your losses and enjoy it for what it is.

Exactly where I'm at with it. A finished lsx powered 924s also sounds a lot more fun than another sedan.

LOL...
perfect!
So you get it, fix it up, learn about it...sell it off...
my only real stipulation is it has to interest me, have a function that isn't redundant to the existing fleet...and be cheap enough to fux with and get out of relatively
unscathed.

Part it out. Should pocket more than selling outright.

Our local junkyard had a TL come in that was rear-ended, it had a lot of stuff we needed on the cheaper side, just what we've been waiting for..

Driver fender
Engine bay covers
Owner's manual
Window lock switch cover
Bumper side clips
Factory all-weather mats
We got out of there for $68 all together, pretty good score.

Everything lines up perfectly with a factory fender, gaps are all looking good when it's all bolted down. It was a humid day with intermittent showers, so we decided to hold off on painting it right now.

Nice, we would have a lot more stuff, but it always seems that a pair and/or set of something is a 50/50 shot in the junk yards.

I've tried with just clearcoat on a carbon fiber hood and my OCD ass was not satisfied.

Most of it depends on what clear you're using & how it's being laid down, plenty of other variables can have an influence as well. A professional grade jam clear usually works best for me.

Nice.
I went to the junkyard last weekend. There was an 06 and an 08. I grabbed some parts I needed and some spares also. I would have liked to have gotten the compass out of the 08 to try to put in my 06 that I swapped the display with an 08. I think it's somewhere in the trunk, but I could not get to the trunk.
The way they are lined up at the junkyard here is rear bumper to rear bumper an the car about 2 and a half feet off the ground.

Your picture shows them with more room around the car.

If I recall correctly, the compass module sits between the audio head unit and the display unit; I don't remember seeing anything in the trunk having anything to do with that part of the system.

Lol. Wish I knew what and where to look for it. I'd go back.
I thought I saw a diagram once showing near the trunk area. Maybe not.
I have the whole 08 radio and display in one unit. Nothing there any different than the 06 unless it was behind it.

If I get some time in the next few days I'll poke around to see if I can come up with the source material I was basing my previous statement on. I'll keep you posted.

I would get that front bumper since it's OEM and already has the Accord fog lights cut in. You will need the harness for the fogs and the interior switch that turns them on. The fogs alone, is worth the bumper.

It's pretty ragged up close, not worth what they'll charge for it in it's condition. If it were Pick n' Pull prices I'd buy it!

Here's what I fixed on the back bumper.

Tackled the fender, now we're just waiting for it to cure before assembly, came out decent.

Matches decent too, I'm pleased with the results.

Thanks! It laid out even for the most part, no blatant metallic tiger stripes thankfully.

Thanks! If enough time is spent with cans, you can pretty much make them do whatever you want lol. This just happened to only need a wider spray pattern, & I already had the wider tip (works better with metallics).

OK, so I was expecting my OCD to kick in after you said that you'd use rattle cans. However, at least in pictures, it looks excellent. Get pictures of it when the fender on!

Just depends on who makes what, usually a professional grade door jamb clear will have them, looks like these, with a twist nozzle at the end.

They have to be used with a female can though, ebay & amazon have them, they could be shit quality though. Never bought any, just robbed them from my other cans.

We got more of the brackets bent back into shape to where everything mounts up properly, also got another bumper snap for this side. Everything was previously held together by the bumper mount on the fender.

We also picked up a fender liner for the driver side, & put in the side marker I got a while back.

It didn't match as much as it looked like it would initially, but we aren't too worried about it, you can see it matches a little better towards the front of the car vs the door/Apillar. I also don't feel like trying to blend it, have more paint mixed, & repeat all of my process again, I will touch up that bumper corner later on though. The gaps & panel alignment came out pretty good, a lot better than the other side is, so there ya go.
