I've been asking around and got various responses so now, I turn to you guys. And if you guys are wondering, yes, I've searched the forum....for 2 days...

I currently have the stage 3 set up with all oem piping and planning to swap my 2 rear stock mufflers with magnaflow mufflers (Part#: 14816 Inlet/Outlet Size: 2.25in./3.5in. Body Shape: 5in.x8in. Oval Core Size: Dual 2in. Body Length: 14in.) http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...e=main&id=9349
Some of you guys mentioned that magnaflow mufflers with stage 3 is way too loud and eventually would have to re-mod the exhaust system one way or another.

With that said, I am currently considering the following 3 set-ups.


set up 1: stock resonator -> mid muffler delete -> magnaflow muffler

set up 2: dynomax -> put back on stock mid muffler -> magnaflow muffler

set up 3: dynomax -> stock resonator -> mid muffler delete -> magnaflow muffler

My question is out of these 3 set up, which would be bit louder than stage 3 but no drone/quite inside and outside (quite enough that your g/f won't notice and police won't pull you over)?

Please help a brother out! Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

 

Hard to tell tbh. You're going to have to spend money to figure out.

I say keep it stage 3 or buy a aftermarket exhaust. Too much hassle in trying a "cheap" upgrade.

 

"loud" is not the problem, the drone you will get is, if you really want to do it right just go with either a resonated xlr8 catback or a ct-engineering catback, both will give a. desired exhaust note and b. gains
