XLR8 Performance Exhaust Parts - Many New Updates!!!

We are proud to offer a lineup of exhaust products and more for the Acurazine community under our brand XLR8 Performance. While our exhaust products are high quality and well-designed there is always room for improvement. So we have made the following updates to our XLR8 Performance exhaust systems and components:

1. Beginning the end of January all our exhaust systems will now come with mufflers with new PRT (Purge Resonance Technology) technology. This technology includes a new combination of muffler packing and sound cancellation. Using both methods (packing and sound cancellation) results in virtually no drone and a deep throaty sound in our exhaust systems. The packing is also two-part: it uses stainless steel mesh wrapped by a specially engineered ceramic weave. This ensures a deep sound and a life time product.

This new design, of course, is more expensive to manufacture. However, for now, we will be absorbing the additional cost, and thus we are providing this new technology at no cost to the customer.

2. All XLR8 J-pipes will now come with the gaskets needed for installation. Previously, we had recommended customers use high temp silicone, which works perfectly. However, to help alleviate any issues, we will include gaskets now.

3. All XLR8 exhaust systems with now have our XLR8 logo etched on the top of the exhaust tips.

4. We have a number of new parts due in in about a month:

We're happy to bring you these updates. We also have our new engine mounts and our upgraded engine torque damper for the M/T TL also in the works. Stay tuned!!!

No sorry. As it is all my costs have increased on these parts and I haven't raised my prices. We're just offering a better product for the same price and the prices on the website are already discounted.

Well they have to be made. They might be available within 1-2 weeks. As mentioned though Permatex high temp silicone works perfectly. It seals perfectly and it lasts. I just wanted to make it easier for the consumer so we're now adding gaskets.

It will keep it simple and clean and also identify our exhaust. It will be on the top of the tips and the tips don't stick out from the bumper so it won't be that visible.

No, these are already existing products. They just have new technology. No test fitting is needed. But if you need some parts call me up and we can talk about a package deal with installation.

I wanna hear the exhaust with the new technology. I don't wanna have all that drone sound that everyone says atlp has. It's partially why I haven't put money down on the new one yet. Well that and the fact I haven't even seen what it looks like.

Is the "new technology" going to change the volume or tone of the exhaust?

I'm all for reducing the drone...I just want to make sure that is will still be as loud and aggressive as your version 1.

I can't wait to hear some sound clips. Thanks.

You can order it now. Just specify in the comment box you want gaskets and I'll make sure the order doesn't ship until the gaskets are ready.

It's going to eliminate the drone but simultaneously still keep the deep, throaty sound. Now if you want to keep the exhaust note still more aggressive get the non-resonated.

That won't be possible. The factory exhaust is one piece, except for one side. And besides most of the cost is in the mufflers; the mid pipe section is only a third of the cost.

No this is a high flow cat for the 3rd cat, not he pre-cats. At this time, we will not be offering any pre-cat options for 2 reasons:

    1. Someone else did pre-cats and they had some issues.
    2. I'm not developing a cat delete for the primary cats of this vehicle. That is the only way of filtering emissions on the vehicle and I don't want to be responsible for deleting that.

I should have had the TL mounts weeks ago. There have been some delays in shipping. I'm expecting the mounts anyday. The ETD will work on the M/T only unless you buy the M/T bracket and then you can mount it.

Here's the part you need to fit it on an AT: 50610-SEP-A10 - BRACKET, RR. ENGINE MOUNTING (MT)

It's pretty inexpensive, any AT who's getting new mounts might as well go for this too.

I'm wondering about the gain on the high flow 3rd cat. What kind of gain is to be expected on say a stock base tl with auto? What about a tl-s?

This might be a dumb question but is the high flow cat designed to increase the air flow and still maintain the emissions so that you can still pass inspection? is the cat guaranteed to pass? (im in TX) and finally, whats the cost?

    Hi Josh,

So the ETD must be the super secret project you were working on

Is the ETD developed in conjunction with the your new motor mounts?

Will the addition of the ETD relieve some of the stresses on the motor mounts themselves?

Will this also add engine vibrations to the cabin as the stiffer mounts do?

I still haven't bought my mounts. That shipper must be something. It's been several weeks in transit.
