XLR8 CatBack Exhaust System

HI AZs,

I am 07 Acura Tl - S owner who wants to purchase XLR8 Cat-back exhaust system but only thing that hinders me from purchasing the product is me being a horrible mechanic person.

I don't want to waste another $ by taking it to the shop if it is easy to install . . .

Are there any instruction on how to install the XLR8 cat-back system or is it just best for me to take it to the shop ?

I did it by myself using jack stands in a parking lot. I would suggest have someone help you instead of laying it on your chest trying to bolt it up like I did haha

It's just removing bolts and sliding the pipes off rubber hangers

^^^what he said. also bring some type of spray lubricant (wd-40 or equivalent) so the dried rubber hangers will slide off easier

It is a very straight forward installation. Simply unbolt the oem exhaust from the third cat and remove the exhaust from the rubber hangars. To install our XLR8 exhaust do the same steps in reverse. As simione said, WD-40 or another lubricant will help to get the exhaust out of the hangars.

Good.

Lastly, does anyone knows how long the catback system comes with in terms of length ?

I plan to purchase NR quad-catback system, so I'm guessing up to where 3rd muffler is located ?

Cat back is literally from the third cat and back…stock exhaust is one piece (well one side bolts off), but any after market is usually 4 pieces. The bolts from the stock third cat are a pain sometimes, just use some bolt off, or spray them to break them loose..All in all they're all a simple bolt on.

Also, check the link below to get the xlr8 cat back. endLessrpm . com
