Wow! Whine =

The car is like a different vehicle. I got a chance to get on it after the rain cleared up and wow. Plus the temp dropped to 50

I can't hook up at all on my stock suspension and wheels.

Have to say thanks to RYAN97812 for helping all the way through! Very rarely will someone sell you something online and then still answer all of my stupid questions.

I basically giggled all the way into work this morning while my wife rolled her eyes and my almost two year old in the back seat going "Vrrrroooooooooooommmmm"

disclaimer *I was not driving like an idiot especially with the little one in the car. He loves the ATLP exhaust and has not been in the car in four days.*

 

CONGRATULATIONS on the successful install. Indeed, Ryan has been extremely helpful with sc install questions as he is the top notch expert on the subject, with vast experience under the TLs hood.

How did the ATLP exhaust sound change with after you added the SC? Louder? more quiet?

I dont know about bent but my surging is terrible. The car is very fast but part throttle is a bitch. I am also running stock everything but the SC and not making the power it should.

 

^^ you need a free flowing exhaust/intake/ and or cats/jpipe set up... if you are already s/c, and you add these.. you can depend on at least a 30+whp gain

Good news though for those looking for a S/C from Comptech. They have now listed it for the 04-08 TL Base and they should have some available for me by the end of the month.

 

Hats off to Comptech as well. I was so suprised to be able to call them and they helped me.

Ryan from Comptech called me back 3 times with all the answers I needed within 2 hours

I am sure you will like it =)

but one thing you might want to watch out is... you might get a check engine light on dash.. use a scanner to see if the code is related to Knock Sensor... if so... you just have to undo 1 of the 2 wires that you have to manual cut... if anything.. call Nate from comptech about it.. he helped me a lot when i was putting mine in =)

ps. its somewhat good to know that you also had the harness connection issue coz i had the exact same problem, and luckily, trimming that harness plug a bit solved the problem =)

 

how should i do the custom CAI? ... just worried about heavy during summer =)

what kind of intake pipe is that??? what car is it from? or did u just bend the cai???

 

I believe that it is from a 04 accord and a universal 90 degree silcon bend.

I have my AEM intake could I just cut it?

you can cut it and add rubber bends to make up for the pipe that wont bend

 

Hopefully you can get the intake done soon and then get us some videos, no need to go fast a 1st to 3rd gear pull is enough.

 

NOOOOOooo. just sell it and buy some cheap intercooler piping, 90 degree slicone elbow and a few clamps. then your choice of cone filter with a 3" opening.

trust me, it made a very noticable difference. its just about double the size and seems like its breathing much better now. i cant believe how perfect it fit in there. =)
