Hey guys, loving the car! Only thing I really wanna do is an exhaust, I REALLY want the ATLP but where can I get it and how much will it run me???

Depends, if you want the quad one, they are discontinued and you have to buy it used. If you want the new one that looks similar to our stock base one then got to heeltoe auto.

new Base is the sexiest thing hanging out of a TL's back end, if you ask me. I know you can fab a great system with off the shelf cans or some quad tips but, you find anything like the latest ATLP Base tips sitting on a muffler shop shelf. I bought it more for the show than the go, which is does just fine. It was the look I was waiting for.

 

i think quads on the tl are extremely fake....worse than having a dummy tail pipe...why? bcs for one, there's only ONE SINGLE exhaust pipe running underneath the car, handling ur entire motor's exhaust flow, and all of the sudden, you got 4 tail pipes???? 2 tail pipes is a bit over the wall, but they did it and having the opening on bumper, empty would look ugly so whatever!!!

but geez, 4 tails its trying a little too hardd...i understand ppl like the aggressive appearance, but its just TOOO MUCH, and you have nothing to back it up with...to me its just beyond fake. There's much higher performance cars, with much more power, and they dont pull any shit like that....i dont know, it might just be me...but i like being as realistic as possible... dont take this offensively, just expressing my thoughts on this quad thing.

 

I think the quad tips are nice. Now of course it may look foolish since the car only has 286HP. Two tips look ugly after awhile !

 

again its just proof that TLers are cosmetics lol....500-600 hp supercars dont even have quads...dual is indeed sexy, simple, and raw

nearly ever car built in the last 5 years has dual exhaust outlets. I've got a touch of OCD and think a pipe on each side balances a car when I look at it. Sure, it's not a true dual but at least we have a little ass to back it up...now the Altima "2.5 S"......

 

I agree that the quad tips are sexy, but noone get close to see them, the dual looks sick

 

I dunno what the fuss is about!!! The TL-S comes with quads in the first place. Everyone knows its a TL and not a ferrari. Why wouldnt you go for cosmetics as well as mechnical? If have a neg comment about the ATLP Quadz its probably cause you dont have one. To the OP its worth every penny and then some.........I PROMISE! However it is discontinued and very hard to find. If I was you I would go with the ATLP base. The ATLP design & tone is as close to perfect as it gets. Go with ATLP, you wont regret it

Try to find somone local who has it and meet up. Me and Sal met up and he put a order in the next week.

Im sure you will some day be interested in the 4G TL tails too. Let me know if i can assist with the install, or maybe LEDs inside the tails? I mean you paid what..$1000 for your catback..you must really know your stuff, and i really hope it wasn't simply because of the "quads"...either way, more power to you.
Negative comments about something have nothing to do with not having it... oh, I have many negative comments about the CT Supercharger also...possibly cause i dont have it!

 

why would you want an ugly ass looking exhaust on a nice looking car? you're right i should just run a straight 2.25 straight pipe out one of the exhaust cutouts because i'd be getting 8 more hp. your posts are taking away from the only use of the acura TL...looks and a smooth ride. if you're spending money to make a FWD TL fast, then you obviously have other issues. buy a real performance car to do that to....

I get more joy turning a car into something it wasn't supposed to be... besides, i love its looks...not on 20" rims, but slammed to the ground on 18s. Not LEDd like a christmas tree, but simple! Original paint and no flares and strippes and crayon drawings. rim color matched valve stem caps and not blue LEDs...catch my drift?

Its elegent, but I do see what you mean. Most modded JDM super cars are single exhaust. I say "modded" because some of the super cars do come with quad exhaust stock.

Oh and that ferrari makes 620hp from the factory.

Its all good, I didn't sal ALL either haha.

But I feel like for the classy factor dual has that locked up. However, for the raw race car power I prefer a nice single exhaust.

Hence why my teg has a single exhaust and the tl has a factory type s exhaust

Just ordered the ATLP base exhaust and the race pipe for my 07 TL today - should be here soooooon, hopefully, very sooon. ahhhhh i cant wait !!

I should have had this exhaust when it came out....you know..just to have..and sell for a profit...I am pretty sure someone would have paid 2000$ for a new ATLP exhaust :sigh:
