Question Where to buy shims for my Hawk Pads?

Sorry, I am sure that question has already been asked, but I did not have luck find the answer I need.

Where can I find/buy shims for my Hawk HPS Brake pads?
Car: TL 2004 Aut.
I just got my pads from excelerateperformance.com and realized that they did not come with shims.

Thank you in advance

Thanks,

Lars

Use whatever shims are on your old pads. As far as I know, there should not be a need to add pieces.

Thank you for your answer.
I would expect noisy brakes with out the shims.
If I have to use my old shims I better glue them in place.
Do you guys know what glue to use and where to buy it?

Thank you in advance.

Thanks,

Lars

use some needle noses and expand the center 2 clips... should hold... that or just squeeze them in there

noisy pads are due to the composite

the belief is that adding a little grease to the back of the pads makes em quieter

The hawk HPS pads are loud, especially after driving hard on them. Wait until they're nice and hot and then you're braking while going in reverse...the whole neighborhood will know. I know first hand.

Sounds like you're making life harder on yourself than you should. Don't glue things lol.

if they didnt come with them then they probably wont need them. if your old shims dont fit then dont worry about it. and DONT glue!

You are going to have noisy brakes either way if you use Hawk pads.
