in all honesty, your better than sticking with the factory intake than a short ram intake. You might want to consider removing the factory resonators in the intake to gain some more power.

IHC said it best, the stock factory intake is actually well designed. Something about Japanese cars in general, their engineering is very strong. When I was into the Subaru game their intakes were very well made too, stock intakes were fine for up to about 300whp.
Hacking out the resonator is easy, just do a search here and you'll find a writeup. When you remove the bumper you can't miss it sitting there.
