why not? its called retrofit...theyre all over the place. theres nothing to change out, but the only thing thats actually hard is finding a place to mount the ballast, which prob sint hard.

The yellow color will overcome the stock headlights, when I put my 6000k's in my foglights and turned them on, the stock ones look yellow compared to them. Other than that, it's bright as hell

I've been considering doing the same thing. Be sure to post some pics! I think it will look great...sure I would like more separation between the fogs and the main beams but I still think it will be a nice look. Better than stock!

You have no idea what you are talking about. It can be done, just replace the bulbs and wire and mount the plug and play ballast.

im thinking about doing that this week too!
i live in canada where the US spec TL has fogs, we have daytime running lights soo i just want the yellow lights to come on during the day but is there a bulb that is just as yellow but not HID so i can just swap the bulb instead of retro-fitting?? any suggestions ??
also does anyone have a pic of the head light assembly and how to take out the houseing for the lights coz i wanna DIY. THNX !!

Red is even more visible, and that's why we use red for "stop", and yellow for a pre-red warning. It's also why they use yellow in street lights.
So when the yellow HID lights are turned on, next to the headlights, the yellow will dominate the headlights and everything ahead of you is going to look yellow. The whole point of HID's is to provide day-light (high 4000K range) equivalent light so that it's easier on the eyes and stuff. Having yellow lights dominate over the headlights and shining everything up yellow will hurt the visibility.

IMO I think the 3000K HIDs will look hot next to the headlights. It will look like the 1st Gen TLs where they had the yellow fogs integrated to the headlights.
Here is a pic of my 3000K HID kit in my fogs on the TSX.........pictures don't do justice.

I got those cheap $15 yellow bulbs in fogs from eBay. And even with them the light looks more yellowish. They distort the HID low beams. And those bulbs I have are rainbow yellow. From some angles they're yellow, from some white, from some bluish.
So my guess is if you put HID yello fogs, then your stock HIDs will just fade away
Just get the bulbs

i do agree with others saying the 3000k hid in that housing that isnt designed for HID is going to wash out your OEM HID projector set up. if you want to do it right you need to retrofit a small HID projector into that spot and aim it like a fog. for ideas visit http://hidplanet.com/forums/index.php and http://www.hidretro.com/page20.htm and www.hidretro.com hope that helps. i say go for it. be the first

i was going to get the 3000k to blend in with the 8000k that i have so it equals to about 4300k lol...but i know for a fact that my 8000k doesnt light up the road, so i have the fogs on most of the time.
i refuse to change back to 4300k because of the color of the bulbs...its damn sexy

Does it get foggy enough to need the fog lights there? I have had the car almost two years now and have not seen fog thick enough to use them yet so I am keeping mine stock.

I dont know about them but the only time i have had my factory fogs on was when one of the HID's went out. Even with one it lit up the road but it look dumb for a car of this price to have a headlight out so having them on kinda balanced the look of the car at night.
