yeah i was concerned about that too. it's not THAT loud imo, until you get on it. i mean it makes the car sound like somewhat like an italian race car. i'd sleep beautifully to it

Dude, Mike, I love you, in a no-homo way. The exhaust is f'ing sexy. Did the install at a buddy's, went to Jotech, they were amazed.
With the intake, it kept me from wanting to go WOT just to hear it. At 2-2,500RPMs, though, the quads just come alive. Idle, they're nice & quiet.
My buddies had me turn the car on several times as well tonight just to hear it. And bridges, oh man, the quads are gorgeous. Much louder than I thought (and bigger), but sound so nice. Not ricey or very loud at all.
My only concern is getting used to the constant pitch at 2,000RPM. But Mike, I'm sure all of us can't thank you enough. Best $1,000 I've ever spent.

my exhaust came in today, and i notice that little rectangular shape box was empty inside!!! what is up with that? and i also have a noticeable dents on top of my both exhaust on of both inner tips. but my most concern is the box is empty.

Yeah that box was empty... I opened it half expecting something... then sorta looked around and was thought you don't really need that much for exhaust hardware. Just all the pipes and some gaskets and nuts and bolts. So I figured that it was just there to keep stuff from sloshing around. The dents though? I can't help you... ask Mike? you got pics?

^ looks pretty good in that second picture... maybe cuz the shadow?
My first stage is complete, got my new ass put on. Yes, I know there's a hole there, I'll take care of that later! tomorrow I'll be with all the TypeS guys, gunning it around the neighborhood! Man there's a lotta you blue Type S guys! lol

It will quiet down as you wear it in. The first ~150 miles or so I was thinking the same thing, but once you get some burn time on the mufflers the exhaust ends up having a wonderful low and fairly subtle euro tone to it.

I'm sure, I was worried for a sec that I would need to get a resonator, but it's fine now. There definitely is still some cabin drone in the 2300-2700 rpm range, but it's not too bad and only really gets loud when the car is under heavy load (ie going up a steep hill).

It's getting a tad quieter as I drive it, but it is still loud anywhere over 4,000RPM, and it loves to make the car pull at 4,500.
In my short time with the exhaust, I believe every RPM area has its own distinct noise.
1-2,500RPM=Subtle, quiet only making noise when you start to move. After that, a bit of drone until let off the gas.
2,500-4,000RPM=Around this area, I've noticed a bit more "grrr" coming out. I don't want to say it is, but the sound that comes up in the "background" sounds a bit like a Camaro that just got new cams.
4,000-5,000RPM=That previous sound kind of dies out, and in comes this subtle roar. It's loud when you first hit it, but it's nothing that comes up when VTEC engages. Great sound when you run under a bridge. Sounds a lot like a VQ engine with more torque at this point.
5,000-Redline AKA VTEC=Nothing more than a very loud monster. At redline on a drive-by, I highly believe someone who isn't watching you could mistake the sound for a Flat-6 out of a Porsche. The sound at redline just has extremely similar tone to it. Not exact, but not far.
This is just my opinion after putting over 100 miles on the new exhaust since Saturday, though. I grin on WOT throttle, and I've had nothing but compliments or "Sounds great/nice". At 2 meets so far, I've had a few guys ask to start it up and give it some gas. I don't see how anyone can be unsatisified with this exhaust unless you weren't particularly looking for loudness.
The cons? It does attract attention & not the good kind. I've caught a few police men taking a glance on me when I get on the highway.

Saw it offf! Just like the DIY made by mmade. You're trying to get the exhaust off the hangers? Just like TLuu said. Just good ol fashioned brute force.
