Hello all,

I have the RV6 HFPC's(Ceramic) and J-pipe on the way, as well as a K&N panel filter for the stock air box. I will be getting the Hondata as soon as I can find a good price and find out more about the E-Tune, hopefully next week. I am going for a conservative boost in hp and fuel economy without getting too noisy and drawing more attention. I am hoping that these 4 mods will get me +/- 25whp and 20 lb-ft/tq.

I am thinking of one more modification though, the RV6 V2 True Dual Exhaust System. So I do have a question for those who have this exhaust on there 07-08 Type S. How loud is this exhaust at cruising highway speeds and on low/partial throttle acceleration?(Yes, I watched about 5 or 6 videos on YouTube) What are the true HP and Tq gains at the wheels with your RV6 Exhaust system ALONE after being added to your HCFP/J-pipe combo? It can even be another exhaust system and the gains that were gained or lost after adding it to the HCFP/J-pipe combo.
Thanks in advance for any info.

My Platform is a 07 TL-S Auto

Ok, so here is where I am at today.
K&N panel filter
RV6 HFPC's(ceramic coated)/J-pipe Combo
Hondata
RV6 True Dual Exhaust

#1) I want to keep it quiet at cruising speeds, and keep it close to sports luxury as possiple(again, when cruising)
#2) Is there any or enough gain in HP/TQ to justify the cost

The first 3 mods will give the car great gains across the board, and still be quiet at cruising speeds.
Any ideas, thoughts, or someone who has the RV6 True Dual?

Go single 3in all the way back from your jpipe with a good resonator in there to quiet it down a bit and you will get allot more power and wont cost you nearly as much. I have the rv6 v3 ceramic pcds and v3 jpipe with the same setup and i love it. Its quiet when cruising and when you really get on it it sounds beautiful.

knoxtl, thanks for the info on the exhaust. I will start searching about this. Are you using your stock mufflers? With those 3 mods combined did you notice a nice gain in HP and TQ?
Thanks again for the info

No I am custom all the way back starting from the jpipe, it's a single exit 3" all the way back with a magnaflow resonator. I noticed it was a little more responsive with this exhaust butt dyno read about 12-15hp just from the custom single exhaust. I gained the most from my Pcd, I wish I would have dynoed before and after I did the complete exhaust I am just guessing here but I think I gained somewhere around 35hp from the whole thing??. My I noticed the engine bay stays allot cooler too from less restriction. The intake manifold stays a little warm but does not get hot. I got mine done for 225 at a local muffler shop. Hope this helped.

OK, so I ordered my HFPC's / J-pipe combo earlier this week, with ceramic coated PC's, and they are on the way to me now. Expected here on the 20th!! Rich is great and I will let you guys know what I think about everything after the install. Hondata paid for on Friday and hopefully will be here late next week. I also decided to go with a cutom exhaust to try an keep everything stock looking and quiet. It will be a 2.5" Stainless Steel(J-pipe back) Exhaust with the Magnaflow 104261 resonator(the quiet one). Now I need to find a way to hook this 2.5" piping up to the stock fufflers. I want to try an use clamps with a reducing adapter x 2.
