Unorthodox pulley slightly damaged will this cause problems?
I received my unorthodox pulley yesterday and i noticed that there is 4 small dings in the outer lip, wondering if i should be worried about this... could this chew up the belt or cause any other problems?

They look like they are on purpose but I doubt they are. I don't think they would cause any wear on the belt because they are not deep enough but it is possible. Call them up and ask about it.

they look way to professionally marked to be a shipping and handling problem... like the sequence is just too smooth and the marks are all identical... I am betting on it being supposed to be like that

many parts fit many cars-
old schoolers will remember timing lights and timing marks, cars with adjustable distributors to advance the curve for racing~
THATS what those precision crafted marks are for on the pulley 0 5 10 20 degreee BTDC
For the TL it just gets lined up properly in relation to the other pullies/cams- directions should say
Its CRITICAL to get the correct torque on the main bolt- 2 methods available- see the DIY/ Garage thread

if gen3 is same as my gen2--
you want the kragen/oreillys `Honda pulley removal tool` for 20 bucks- it holds the crank pulley so you can easily loosen the bolt.. which is on with 181 foot pounds of torque!
For comparison car wheels are supposed to be 80 ft lbs
for install and tighten- remove trans access panel to flywheel and jam a prybar of hefty strength into the flywheel teeth- that stops engine from turning so you can get all the torque back on - loose bolt will cause severe damage when it comes off

Its basically for smog check. Some people retard the crap out of there car so they can pass smog *we did this for my friend 240*. With the tick you can take the timing gun and still measure the timing without taking apart of the cover for the belt and timing belt crank.
