Guys wanna do this mod, give me more info on a successful swap. Is it just swapping cams and thats all, or is there more to it?

 

Yes, do it!

 

but you have to pull the heads, which means timing belt has to come off. but once it is off it's a straight swap. i have a pretty informative thread abt it from a while back.

That sounds good for you "ussi" cause you have a sc, how do I know this mod would show gains w/o sc. The lift may stay open for to long and lose some air fuel mixture, unless the the lift for the type-s is a longer duration on the top end only, which probably mean on the low end stays open less than the base cam which will save on fuel economy if i/e is added to motor.
