Why would you have a turbo timer for a car without a turbo?

any turbo timer will work on any car, but there is no point having your car run after you remove the key, especially if you don't have a turbo

You can custom a Turbo for any car, call Turbo East, a company in Maryland. They might want to do a project on your TL.

the reason for a turbo timer is to have your car idle for a time after it's off. It's good for the car during cold weather. Same theory as letting your car warm up during cold days.in reverse ofcourse. I got 2 friends who's got turbo timer for their NA, one is a xB one m3.

both of them are wasting their gas, there is no reason to do this. also your car cools off quicker when it is moving because of the constant airflow. if you let you car sit and idle you'll notice the cooling fan going on and off constantly, but when you are moving it either doesn't come on at all, or very rarely

There is no reason to have a turbo timer if your car is NA. A turbo timer is for the turbo, thus turbo timer. A turbo is lubricated by oil. When you shut off the car you have no oil pressure. Therefore the turbo doesn't have sufficient time to lubricate or the oil can cake up b/c the turbo stops spinning and ruin seals. Thus, the reasons for the turbo timer: oil to keep flowing to allow the turbo to remain lubricated, cool down, and not have the oil cake up and ruin seals.
