Tsudo Exhaust

Looks like $520 shipped on Ebay, watched a couple Youtube vids doesn't sound to bad..

I read this whole thread too. Anyone with Dyno results OR feedback on having the exhaust for a couple years including winters? I try not to drive my TL in the winter but its hard not to where I live. Also, has anyone fitted quad tips on it? I have the aero/aspec kit? (I forgot the terminology) will it fit good with the body kit? I want something louder than stock but not too loud or raspy with minimal drone and this isn't looking bad. I too have funds for ATLP quads (which I really want) but I can't justify the price.... I have other expensive Hobbies as well I.e. atv's, djing, snowboarding etc.. That I could definitely put that extra $500 towards. Also, I have been in the black market and people sell the big name ones for normally no less than $900..... I have a very hard time finding them still for sale as well as justifying 900 for a used exhaust.. It's not a race car as stated above. If you were going to gut it, rebuild it, and track it, go ahead.

r u serious?? I thought we would want it to be loud all the time....or is it better it being quiter at higher speeds cause nobody else can really listen to it anyways & we don't want to give ourselves a headache

do you guys know if i take different muffler tips to this would i make a difference? or removing the resonator and welding a straight pipe or a magnaflow or dynomax resonator will make it sound even deeper? and less drone

Just getting peoples opinions on my options; As per GuLuMoNeY's recommendation, I took the TL to a local muffler shop, seemed to be a decent fella; his recommendation was to go with a custom exhaust made at his shop vs. buying a ready made one from XLR8 or Tsudo or gReddy (the last being the one I really would have loved to have!!). I showed him this youtube video as this is what I want -
He recommends using a 3" pipe (I need to confirm material on the pipe) crush bent in his shop with magnaflow mufflers that will look and sound similar to the gReddy - all installed for $575!! (He said he'd let me try out the system without resonator) and if it's too loud then he'll place the res no charge; Also he showed me some options for drone that he could do at an additional cost ($70); It would be great to have your guys's opinions as to my options

I just bought another TL and will be getting the Tsudo again. It sounded great. As for Dyno, I never put it on one until the full exhaust was on (inc. cat delete) and supercharger. Also I dont see what would change in the sound by changing to the dual tip.

Sorry for late reply! Use coupon code SEMO at speed element! 20% off ![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
--ALSO, do you guys use the hardware that comes with it? Are the bolts at least zinc coated or stainless for future removal? Are the gaskets OK? Are there any needs for clamps? I'm getting a J-pipe as soon as I find a deal. Thanks!

TLDub: the bolts and gaskets are great.
Simplyclean: I sold my TL in 2010 with this exhaust on it. Its been through 3 WI winters and still looks and performs great with no problems at all.

^that's great to hear it has survived these harsh Winters! Reppin WI here.. the weather has been crap even now that its soupposedly summer.. another question.. will xlr8 test pipe work with the stock jpipe and tsudo cat back until I get a jpipe? Or will I need an aftermarket jpipe for it to fit? Thanks

Did you consider selling the exhaust separate from TL? Did you sell it SC'd as well? Was it harder to sell or did you lose much money with the modifications? Thanks

Drone Issues
From reading through this thread, I've noticed a few members mention exhaust drone at times. Specifically, I'd like to know how the drone is at highway speeds on the 6MT (approx 2300 - 2700 RPMS)??
I commute daily on the highway and the last thing I want to hear is a strong, humming drone during my drive. I'm about to pull the trigger on this catback system based on all the comments thus far, however my drone question is holding me up. Appreciate anyone's comments. Thanks!
P.S. If anyone was wondering, I currently have the Stage 1 exhaust mod setup (mid-muffler delete) and have an exhaust leak at the weld of the hanger attaching the straight pipe. Rather than pay to fix the issue, I figured now is a good excuse to try out the Tsudo system because I am ultimately trying to achieve a subtle, low-pitched exhaust tone (hence my reasoning for performing the Stage 1).

As for drone, I never had much on the highway. I do also have a 5at so I am not sure if it will be different. You would hear it you tried to speed up to pass someone. I never got any bad feedback on it other then from my mom when she was in the back seat on a trip. Keep in mind I did have PCD and a J-Pipe (high flow 3rd cat)

I've decided to go with the Tsudo as well but SEMO code doesn't work anymore on speed element :/ Anyone have a new discount code for maximum savings?

Anyway, you two are going to be stoked on your purchase because this system sounds great! Subtle, but a nice, deep tone which is exactly what I was going for

Ya well, im more interested now as the sale I had with semotors.com has fallen through. I ordered and paid for the exhaust on 7/14. Since then, I have gotten very vague emails about when my exhaust would get to my door. Finally, YESTERDAY... I get an email saying that they do not have any in stock, and their stock wont be replenished for another month! They offered me 10% off, but I don't get protected after 45 days with paypal and I don't know, just seems sketchy to me. I canceled the order and am awaiting my refund. Never have dealt with semotors before, and never will again
Needless to say, I am still in the market for an exhaust.

I got my refund yesterday. I waited a couple of days, then just decided to call the number that they had listed on paypal and got my refund immediately. So I got my money back, but am still without a system; still looking. Ya, def don't go with semotors man, unless you wanna wait and maybe not get it. lol
