I had a 1989 LX 5.0 with some mild bolton's, stock internal, and it went 13.99@99mph. The TL feels a little slower. Is that cool with you?
Hey John,
You going to the MFBA Track Rental in May, I might see if the wife will bring my 5AT TL and I'll bring my (relatively slow) Formula. Might be cool to see how bad my butt gets handed to me, my 5AT vs your 6MT. My car's butt-o-meter seems like a 14.9 - 15.1 car to me at say 91-93. If I can't trap 90

And I also have a very mild bolt-on 5.0 that runs 13.9's, mine just weighs a bit more and rides a bit better.
I also think the new tl can be slow off the line.My 02 tls did not have this problem. But there is a way around this problem. If you drive the car hard (rev it out) for a few minutes before you drag the car will break the wheels off the line.

The source of the problem with the new TL is the new drive by wire throttle system they mated with the j32A3. Put simply: it sucks and I hate it with a passion. It reacts much slower and requires a bigger stab of the throttle than my TL-S needs. I really wish I could take the throttle system out and put the one my TL-S has in my 04.

I guess Honda needs time to make it better and tune it up.
