Does both the auto tranny plug has the same thread as the engine oil plug.
I was looking at these aftermarket magnetic plugs that comes in pairs.
They look very similar.
Just want to know if I can fit that longer magnet into the oil pan or there is no room?

 

Don't know, but my thinking is that the engine oil filter will catch most everything, where as the tranny magnetic plug does that job in the tranny fluid.

 

I found a pic online of the 3rd gen TL oil pan, looks like there is room for the magnet but need to confirm if the threads are the same.

Anyone tried this before?
