Also concerning the speed issue, up to 110 I bet it would be closer than you think. I have noticed the car is noticeably faster if you manually shift it, especially on the 1-2. In auto mode the car does the 1-2 at about 6200 and falls waaaaayyyyy out of vtec, but if you hold it to redline it gets back into vtec almost right away (maybe 100rpms away). After 110 the 4th gear wall does suck. I think a tune with the limiter raised 100rpms and lowering the vtec point by a little bit.
No offense, but I'd be pretty skeptical about the calibration on that scale. The Type-S 5AT is listed at 3674-3680, depending on tires.

Agreed. I raced a TL and from what I remember I reacted just a hair quicker but his front tire was right there next to me. We were within 6" of each other 1-2-3rd gears. It was as even as you could be. I always let it shift automatically unles the race goes into 4th gear. So once I was in 3rd I pulled it into manual. The TL that was next to me shifted to 4th while I rode out 3rd for another few hundred rpms and I put a solid 1 car on him in addition to the few feet I got off the start. It definitely makes a difference even shifting just the one time manually. We stayed in it for another couple seconds so I know he didn't let off when he hit 4th.

I agree. Mine was 3,900 and change with me in it. I weigh 230lbs. While I have audio gear, I've also have taken weight out of the car. My subs are only 17lbs and at the time I had only one tiny class D amp. So maybe it was a net gain of no more than 100lbs putting it mid 3,500-ish. With the Type S being about 50lbs heavier it would be over 3,600lbs.

Welp, the scale I was using was off. I saw it a couple days after I used it and with nothing on it it was reading -240, so I figured I would wait till its fixed and go back. With 1/8 tank of gas and 2 12 inch subs it weighed 3620 w/o me.
