TL 3G Megan Racing Exhaust

I have searched this forum, You Tube, and Other forums fo input on this one. I can get a brand new Megan racing OE RS Catback for 500.00 for my 06 TL. Now I cant find sound clips or reviews on sound or fitment. anyone on have or heard anything about them. Any input would help! Thanks.
P.S. i know ATLP, Comptech, and so on are better but i dont have 800-900 to pick one up anytime soon!

Thats a good point... there really is no reason, I just want to make it sound better. I was just looking around and saw that the Megan kit has a 2.25" exhaust system... thats stock but all with a shine. Guess ill have have to wait for a good deal on a Comptech or ATLP.

do a stage 2/3 mod (~$125) that will hold you off until you save up that 1g for a real exhaust

^^^^^^Don't worry OP you can use his layaway plan..........

If you're looking for a little sound why don't you do a mid-muffler delete or something of that nature, for the time being.

Hahaha You all bring up a good point. i guess my reason for making this was if someone out there was like "oh man worth the money works/sounds great" i was going to buy it but I think ill hold off for a Comptech. i dont want a loud exhaust but i want on that will support a Comptech Supercharger.
I have the mid muffler delete done already which i loved for like a week... now its not enough haha. i just ordered a ATLP J-Pipe which i was going to see if it made a sound difference before i cut out the res. thanks for the input and confirming what i figured!

don't cut the res. out just get the jpipe put on with the test pipe and if you want some shiny mufflers with a little more noise get some magnaflows welded in. Make sure if you do this to put the test pipe on or you'll get some drone.

I guess you failed math. With shipping it's probably close to 1300 for a base tl.That is alot of cheese!!! Megans doesn't look that bad at all. If it had quad tip I'd get it.

Pricing for the RV6 True dual exhaust will start at $1199 + shipping for the base and $1299 + shipping for the quads.

if i didnt have a quad atlp i would save up for rv6 exhaust. Who knows maybe in a few months i might sell my atlp and but the rv6 exhaust. But i love the sound of my exhaust. Pre-cat --> j-pipe --> race pipe --> atlp quads.

If you can come up with the dough, I would do the ATLP set up. I have the Quad V2, Jpipe V2 and Test Pipe. It sounds good and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I also have an INJEN CAI to.

Just save your money and get the exhaust system.

I wouldn't get the comtech or any pre made exhaust. They are all way over priced. Just go to an exhaust shop and have them weld in some magnaflow with 2.5" piping and your choice of tips. Bet it would be cheaper, sound good and flow better.
