They are using the Accord 03-07 AEM V2 cai (24-6110C). I just ordered one from mrheeltoe : http://www.heeltoeauto.com/AEM-Perfo...-pr-62616.html

You can find it on ebay too.

Yep XLR8. AEM V2 went in so easy, just BE CAREFUL to NOT over tighten the rubber mount.

It sounds AWESOME when I downshift and rev past 4K RPM's with my manual 06 TL.

^^Al made a beleiver out of me!

One MAJOR problem with it though...

I saw the gain it gave me and the sound, so it forced me to spend alot more $$$ on a cat-back, pulley, TB spacer, etc, etc.....

1: So, I should ignore the Excelerate website when it says "this will not fit your 2007 TL type S" ???? Just wanna make sure. I don't beleive a lot of what I read, so I'm OK with stuff like this.

2. CARB certification? I live in California and don't like getting hassled when I get my car smog checked every other year. I emailed AEM but haven't heard back from them yet. Regardless, the CARB certification is engine-specific so unless it applies to my engine, I'm SOL. Maybe just reinstall everything stock when I get smogged?

Open to info and thoughts to those who have been down this road before.

the Bro.

That should answer your question. I imagine the website would say the same thing, Base or Type-S.

Not sure about the CARB question but there are a bunch of CA guys on here with the V2, I'm sure they'll chime in.

Thanks for the reply.

The website being wrong is no big deal. The CARB issue is. I'll just stay tuned to this thread until the "been there, done that" types have a chance to respond. And if I don't hear back in afew days then I'll call AEM's tech phone line.

No problem. I'd suggest getting in touch with Josh (Exelerate). He knows these products and can answer the questions you have.

Yes, it's CARB certified

+1 for AEM customer support. Within 24 hours I got this email text back from them. Interesting that they didn't provide the CARB number. These can be independently checked with Sacramento. But good news is good news, especially when it comes quickly.

Now if I could just get beyond the issue of under-engineered welded-on support brackets.....but that's another thread.

the Bro.

The 21-513 now has a CARB certification for 04-08 models, to receive the CARB EO sticker pls send proof of purchase, we can mail out the sticker .

Thank you,

moved to california and had to do my smog test for the first time and they failed me for my AEM v2 without the sticker. Above, Joji states "The 21-513 now has a CARB certification for 04-08", but when you look up 21-513 it is the v1 model, not the v2. Is the v2 still not certified for the 3G TL? I don't have my stock exhaust anymore so I'm trying to weigh my options on what I should do.

it may come with a CARB sticker, but if the smog shop looks through the CA database and match up car model with the CARB sticker it won't pass if they're strict
